After many hours of long labor amongst many other hours of long schoolwork, here is my entry. A big thanks to my mom, who was very accommodating and helpful.
About this creation
The upmostly important link:MocOlyimpics Home Page
Catagory: Hound Dog
I will start with a poem to be sung with the original tune of the song:

"I ain't nothin' but a hound dog, just lyin' on the ground..."

"I ain't nothin' but a hound dog, just sittin' around..."

"I ain't nothin' but a hound dog, catchin' frisbees all day..."

"I ain't nothin' but a hound dog, all I want to do is play!"
"I ain't nothin' but a hound dog, just flo-"

*CCCCCCCRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGG* (static)

"I'm a DOG chasing cars. I wouldn't know what to do with one if I caught it, you know? I'd just DO."

Sorry for the abrupt change of subject, but a subtle theme in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight film is the idea without universal rules and truths, everything would be left up to instinct, like a dog. At the beginning of the film, we see Batman attacked by a blood thirsty dog, who is attacking for no reason other than that's what has been imbedded into his instinct. We see this theme repeated later in the film when the Joker (above) compares himself to a dog. Finally, in the final face off between the Dark Knight and the Agent of Chaos, we see both the Joker and a few dogs on top of Batman. Just thought it was interesting enough to include. Also, it gave me an excuse to build Dark Knight inspired MOCs.

The Joker. Here, I started by building the head last Sunday, and finished with the suit.

A shot of the anatomy of the dog. A fun build, completed the same day the Olympics started.

And finally, The Dark Knight himself. I will post him separately.
Thanks for viewing!
Soli Deo Gloria!

The hound dog is excellent....as is the Batman and Joker figs....though I'm not sure exactly why they're included. LOL Anyways, good luck with the judges!
Thanks Heath!

Mind if i 'borrow' your Joker? It's amazing!
If you mean you want to buy it from me, it is already too late; he is sorted. If you want to steal my method of building him, go right ahead as long as you credit me.

Seriously impressive stuff here, Chief! I'll just mention the arched green baseplate, very clever idea. Excellent entry!
Thanks! I am photographing pictures for a minifig post currently, so you will see that technique again soon hopefully! I must say, I couldn't have curved it without duct tape!

Nice photography too with the Frisbee. Although, how did you do it? I think the rules said that no special effects are allowed.

The rules really just specify that photoshop should not be used as a means by which to impress the judges. From what Mr. Phipson said, it seems like a little photoshop is fine, as long as it isn't overboard. As for how, the frisbee and the dog are actually two separate pictures. Both were held up by 1x1 trans clear round plate stacks, which were edited out. The frisbee was then copied to the dog picture and motion blurred. Thanks for you comment! |

Super imaginative! Just the cute doggie MOC alone would probably have got you into round 2, but the change of tone puts this on a different level, backed up by your awesome Joker and Batman figures. Top notch entry. |
