Ford GT
Hello, I'm back after a long time. This is my first "large scale" car built with real bricks, and possibly my favourite creation I've made so far. I started it on Monday 17/09/12 and finnished it on 25/09/12. First off, the reason for my absence is because MOC pages very rarley works on my computer. Secondly I might stop making creations on LDD and make them in real life instead. Anyway, I have always wanted to build a large scale car that acctually looks like what its based on. The reason I chose the Ford GT is because it is small and would not take up too much bricks, and also because it looks very nice. I apoligise for the blury photos and the long absence but I think it was worth it. Enjoy!
About this creation
The front:

This is the bottom part of the front, It turned out really well in my opinion. There are two translucent studs at the bottom for lights if you cant see them.
(I forgot to upload the picture of the main head-lights, but you can see them in the main picture there not brilliant.)

The vents on the hood. I used the rounded 1x4 pieces for this.
(I really dislike those gaps above where the front wheels are.)

Doors and interior:

Here it is with the doors shut...

...and they can open.

The interior: I could only make one seat, but I still got the gearstick, steering wheel, and everything else.

The back:

Here is the back from an angle, I like how this turned out. (I really like those vents on the back.)

Here is a close-up. I used the round dish pieces for the lights, and slopes to get the shape right.

Here is the back opened up, to reveal the engine.

The engine: I didn't copy this exactly, but its close enough in, my opinion.

Here is the roadster version.

...And a goodbye image.

Quoting TheLegoNoitAll . Not bad! one of your best! i really like a lot of it, some of the shaping is really good, but i think the slope (with the back windshield) going down into the back needs some work, but still this is a really good model of a hard car! i'm impressed!!!!
Thanks, It was a VERY hard car to build. As for the slope, its easier to open the engine up like this, but thanks again for the kind words. :D

Quoting Loek Marcus Nice job, the big cars from you in real are quite cool. That's it has no tires, that's strange, but who cares cause you can't help it. But maybe improve the picture quality? :-)
Thanks! I am working on a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG (Not on LDD) and will take the pictures during the daytime so that they are much more clearer. :D

Quoting Starscream Soundwave Nicely done, I really like it! In my opinion, I think better photos would improve it a lot, and it would get more attention, which is good because it really is a nice build :)
Thanks! The camera I have is alright, but I took the pictures in the evening where there was no sun light so they came out quite blury. But thanks for the kind words. :)

Quoting Stephen Barnes Well done for keeping it real! I never thought LDD stuff counted really. ps. it hasn't got any tyres :)
Thanks! The reason it hasn't got tyres is because I havn't acctually got any large cars (like the Ferrari's or Lamborghini's), and the car parts I DO have are from other sets (like those parts above the wheels are from the Atlantis sets.) But the good thing about these kind of wheels is that they are very fast on carpet, but not good on wood. :)
