this is my version of the star trek uss voyager; it is under continuous improvement due to the lack of parts. I don't have any lego technic, so I just use basic system lego.
I wanted the model to be completely closed as it being a star ship, but with some detail.
The main emphasis for my next improvement will be:
the nacelles, since they are too square.
If I m lucky and get a load of more white parts I will increase the size to get a better hull section and change the way I constructed the saucer.
more sloped pieces and tiles to emphasize the smooth lining of the voyager.
Now I mainly used optical illusion to create the many curved lines and overlapse in this design.
If any of you have any suggestions regarding techniques or other, please remark so I can benefit from it.
thanks in advance for that.
for the rest, hope you enjoy this.
About this creation
the main shuttle bay
this is the bottom of the saucer section with the captain's 'aerowing' in and out.
this is the bottom of the hull section with the landing pads and escape hatches on either side.
the deflector assembly with the two torpedo launchers. colour scheme as on tv.
the top where the saucer section flows into the hull section. again I used optical illusion to create the detail and black for the sensor array.
the port side with one of the docking ports. I included the lateral sensor array in black; thrusters in orange. the hardest part of course the strange curve at the back of the sauces section.
