M.O. Round 2: LukeSC vs. Lego Obsessionist
For the 2012 MocOlympics. Category: "Cross the Ocean" Build something that floats and appears capable of crossing an ocean.
About this creation
My opponent's homepage .

For this round I decided to build a... Boat. Surprise!

I decided to employ a technique for the hull that I believe was invented by one of my MOST SINCERELY BELOVED JUDGES, Sebeus I.

Now, for THE question..... Does it float?

I can only answer that as; "sort of." It does definitely NOT sink, though it rides a bit low and could be described as "tippy".

The first pic was with a stabilizing hand on the mast, the second pic was it a few seconds after I let go. It is not touching the ground, but it will not, most likely, be crossing any oceans. It does make a great bath toy though.

Good luck to my opponent, though in all honesty I must admit that I hope you lose. No hard feelings.

The hull looks fantastic, and the overall ship has a lot of character! Too bad you didn't make it to R3... Keep up the good work!

I gotta say, that was a close one- after seeing your entry, I knew I had to pray that the functions would save me. Good game, I enjoyed it.

I have to echo Sebeus here. Stylistically and with regard to technique, that is one of the coolest ships I've seen in quite some time. But if we're talking about crossing an ocean, Obsessionist's functionality pushed it over the top. Great effort here though! It's a shame to see you go!

This is just a really cool ship! The design is great! Your opponent however added the power functions which tipped my vote in his favor. Thanks for the awesome entry! ~ Chris.

Excellent build! Too bad she's listing a bit. LMAO Good luck with the judges!

This must be the thoughest one to judge so far, you managed to apply my technique very effectively, infact, even more effective that I did myself. I 'Love' the shape of it, this is a much nicer build than your opponent's but here's the thing, your opponent's creation is very functional, which I also like. Only one can have my vote... Lego Obsessionist gets my vote, I made the decision, know that this was the closest call so far. Good luck with the otehr judges ;) Oh and I really want to see more Mocs like this from you, keep it up!

Much better in the bath than a rubber duck - it just needs a keel to go sailing. Good luck!
