The SECRET ORIGIN of SUPERMAN
I had the pieces and I just finalized my FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE so why not? It took me a bit of time but the results I think was worth it - I hope you agree! I started with Superman reminiscing about his parents - JOR-EL and LARA (introduced here for the first time) and how he came to EARTH. How the KENTS (also introduced here for the first time) adopted him and raised him. I show how CLARK KENT became a strong young man and how sad the KENTS must have been when he got the letter he got the job with the DAILY PLANET! How he made friends with both LOIS LANE and JIMMY OLSEN!
About this creation

The first thing SUPERMAN did when constructing his FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE was to dedicate a room to his home planet, KRYPTON and his parents, JOR-EL and LARA!

Most of what he learned about KRYPTON came from the crystals JOR-EL placed in his spaceship. But mostly he learned about daily life from the shrunken citizens of the bottled city OF KANDOR shrunk by BRAINIAC! He has a fondness for this city!

He also has the spaceship he came in, it was saved by his EARTH parents: Jonathan and Martha KENT. It's is connection to his past!

He tries to think what it must have been like for his parents to give him up in order to protect him!

JOR-EL and LARA were two of KRYPTON's leading citizens. He a scientist and she an anthropologist!

Originally when JOR-EL discovered KRYPTON's downfall he created a rocketship to carry him and LARA to safety! But LARA got pregnant and gave birth to their son, KAL-EL. JOR-EL decided the space ark would carry both LARA and their infant son KAL to safety!

He thinks how hard it must have been for his mother to place him in the ark!

And wonders what JOR-EL felt like.

His ship would aim for a planet in a far off solar system, one JOR-EL studied carefully, the planet EARTH!

JOR-EL and LARA held hands and stood close to one another as they watched the spaceship take off!

As the spaceship took off KRYPTON crumbled and ARGO CITY flew off into another direction.

As the ship ventured towards EARTH KAL-EL was kept in a safe environment and was nurtured by the ship itself.

It crash landed in an open field!

It stood there until...

A kindly childless couple THE KENTS, JONATHAN and MARTHA spotted the craft and stopped their pickup truck!

MARTHA was so happy to hold the infant and asked her husband if they could adopt him!

And they named him CLARK and he grew up stronger then any human male with powers no one could ever imagine!

The KENTS on their farm. (NOTE: In some legends they were farmers, others General Store owners and in some farmers who had a General Store!)

They were happy till CLARK got the letter telling him he got the job as a reporter for the DAILY STAR (It wasn't till later he went to work for the DAILY PLANET! But in some versions he went straight into the DAILY PLANET!) He'd had to move from SMALLVILLE to the big city METROPOLIS!

JONATHAN and MARTHA bid CLARK a fond farewell. (Now at this point some legends have both die after a vacation, others just JONATHAN and in Byrnes run both were alive to even see CLARK marry LOIS LANE [then JONATHAN dies])

At the planet he met LOIS LANE!

and JIMMY OLSEN!

It was as SUPERMAN that his friendship with JIMMY was cherished!
