After more than a century of rule by the United States, Kevinopolis declared independence and became its own sovereign nation in February of 2012. The government consists of a mayor and four cabinet members that advise the mayor. Duties of the mayor include going to meaningless meetings and giving speeches in order to rally the town. Ever since the job boom in March 2012, citizens of Kevinopolis have been achieving high amounts of currency. With rising wages and falling prices, citizens of Kevinopolis enjoy a high standard of living. Everyone in the city is employed and residents live in apartment complexes or houses. The main feature of the town is the large tower, Le Tour Kevin, located in the center of town. Modeled after the Eiffel Tower, Le Tour Kevin mimics the majestic glory of the Eiffel Tower but only has three legs due to a shortage of grey bricks when it was built over 50 years ago. On top of the tower are radio antennae that transmit free wireless internet throughout the town.
