I was so impressed with the Lego Mini Modular set 10230 I had to have a go.
So we have a Museum, Art Gallery. Grand entrance and 3 floors of exhibits. Built as a corner piece at an angle using the 3-4-5 triangle, so it helps the street look a little more organic and interesting.
A city centre Church, squeezed between the buildings that have grown around it. I'm particularly pleased with the look of the tower.
We have the classic London Town House. Each made separately on a 5 by 8 base.
An old Timber Frame Inn. Pictures from the front and back. My particular favourite.
The last is just a quick add-on using bits and bobs, aiming for a corner piece that looked interesting as both an internal or external corner. So it's just some random Tower with a cafe and book shop in its base.
I'm finding these tiny little buildings are genuine fun to create. They even get me looking at the architecture in my home town at lot more. The next challenge will be to add representations of real life individual buildings.
I've never been a minifig modular builder, but have always been impressed with the great city scenes posted on MOC pages. Perhaps my own tiny town will grow some more.
LDD file included, though I may have slightly changed the construction as I moved onto real bricks. Some colours for example.
