About this creation

After a financial review, it became apperant that the proposed Pierce built Squad 41 and 41a couldnt be afforded by the department, so Battalion 4 was disbanded.

But due to the fact that station 6 was already built, and that the department needed the additional pump and aerial capability, a solution had to be found.

The answer came pretty fast when Chief Brown walked around on the rear parking lot of Station 1, and found Ex-Engine 14 sitting in the lot waiting its faith.

The old Mack CF was brought to the department motorpool and was heavily refurbished to make the old engine ready for Squad duties.

Shop mechanics upgraded the pump to 2000 gpm and foam discharge capable, the water tank stayed the same (500 gallons) but added a 100 gallon foam cell.

They also welded a roofstorage on the cab, added lightbars on the side of the roof to make the rig more visible.

Further more they added a light tower, a stronger generator and a compressor on board so the rig can have preconnected rescue tools on board.

This rig always responds with Squad 15A.

Thanks Josh, I thought what to do with the Mack after reading your question, and I came to the conclusion I had no reserve Squad Engine, so that was the original planning, but then it turned out the 2 Pierces I had planned wete too expensive, so I built the Mack snorkel and ordered it, and refurbished it. And I hope the snorkel will blend in nicely, we will see.
