M4A1 "Snow camo" (Working)
About this creation
Another gun. This one comes from P.K. The M4A1 is a very versatile gun. As you will see from my pictures, it can be used for quite a few different things. This gun is manufactured by Colt, and Remington. I really like the shape of this gun. There is a video of the gun at the end of this page.

A pictue of the gun with all the attachments I have made for it thus far.

Gun with iron sights

Looking through the iron sights

The rear iron sight can flip down so that other optics can be mounted.

Also the stock is extendable. It has 4 positions.

This is the stock lock. I have modified it to work a little better.

Simple rocking mechanism.

This gun features full rails, and as such can support quite a few attachments.

One of which is this carrying handle.

There is only one problem with the carrying handle.. When looking down the sights, you can't see the front sight in the rear one.

Another attachment is a scope. This is a small one compared to the ones on the real guns.

Now when you add a scope to a gun, it's a good idea to add a bipod. This increases accuracy.

Now adding the scope and bipod this gun has been converted to a sniper rifle.

Bipod flipped up.

Close up of the bipod. I designed the bipod to flip down with "spring action".

Bipod only

The legs of the bipod flip up and lock with the little red pieces.

A foregrip is also among the many attachments that can fit on this gun.

A very important part of any gun is the magazine. These ones hold 11 bricks each.

You know what you do with two magazines? Hook them together of course!

Two mags are better than one!

Now that they are hooked together, I'll always know where they are.

Double the shots, double the fun.

Flash light

Wouldn't be very good to see this view.

I've also made a sling out of track pieces.

It is sturdy enough to hold up the weight of the gun.

Now that is a proper gun.

Those shells in front of the gun are the size of the shells that the real gun shoots.

.223 Remington shells.

Comparison to gun

And now for some "artsy" shots.

Quoting George Staples Thanks John. I can turn the bipod around very easily because it is an attachment. That is actually a very good idea. I was pretty surprised too when it broke the target. I only have 3 rubber bands on the "firing pin" Can't wait to see what guns you make. I'm going to try and start a collection of snow camo lego guns.
Your welcome! That's the way I have the bipod on one of my (real) rifles set up. They must be pretty powerful rubber bands, that or well made. I'll probably make a precision rifle first. Cool, I can't wait to see the new additions.

I would be without this gun...

Thanks Jon. I really like the sling too. The video was fun to shoot, took a few tries before I actually hit it.
Quoting John Daniels I have to say that this is the best LEGO M4 I've ever seen! I have one suggestion make the bipod fold forward towards the barrel (like a Harris bipod) so that it doesn't block the grip. The magazines look good. The sling technique is awesome! The carrying handle is excellently made! I think that I'll get into LEGO guns after the MIT. --John P.S. I can't wait for the video. The video is great! I can't believe how powerful it is at 20ft! I think that I'm going to try my hand at a LEGO gun, as soon as the MITs end/I lose a round. --John

Quoting Chris Melby Your knowledge of the build is impressive! I thought the coolest part is how you strapped that light on the side, for a minute, I thought it was the real gun, very cool George, by the look of KSL weather, it might fit right in to some snowy mountain conditions this weekend! Chris
Thanks Chris! It does look very similar to the real one. Oh and I added a picture of the snow we got. The gun blends right in.
