About this creation
For this round, I knew I had to do something special - I was up against Shifu. After roaming the house for a while, I settled on this complicated Knight Statuette. I have done my best to get as close to the original as possible, but only fate (or rather the judges) will decide if all the effort payed off!
Judges, your life just got easier (link to the MIT).
My opponent's outstanding creation.
-------------------------------------
The next seven photos are reference photos of the actual statuette. Following those, photos 8-14 show the same angles on the same areas of the LEGO model. Enjoy!

-----------------------------------------
These three photos are repeats of the last three, but without the shield as it was blocking nearly all of the left leg.

Mind the gap, or just ignore it :)

...same here...

------------------------------------
This last collection of pics depict any random angles or shots I want the judges to see.

Here are the two shields. Here you can (hopefully) see my attempt at closely matching the designs on the shield, including the raised border along the edges.

This reveals the trick I used to make my giant spear - forced perspective!

And here is my attempt at the embroidery on the knight's, um...skirt?
Fun fact: the top cape you see here has actually been cannibalized from my first MIT entry!

I tried to get the base as close as possible, but lacked the parts - hence the black section of it.

Getting things at odd angles is strange for me - I'm great at it, (see my MO entry ) but it takes time. Time that is sometimes more than my patience normally lasts.
Here I managed to attach his thigh plate things at an odd angle using 2x2 turntables in conjunction with 1x2 hinge bricks, with a 2x2 (or 1x4, depending on the way you look at it) hinge plate over the top for strength.

Just the model.

The model without spear and shield. Wait, did his arms move a little?...

BAM! As I always say, what's a MOC without playability?

Here's both of them together, like in the title photo.

And finally, me (, two weeks worth of hair) and the two models for the mandatory scaling photo.
Final note - Although it may seem like it in some places, absolutely NO LEGO has been modified in any way, shape or form, nor were non-LEGO items used.
Thanks for stopping by, rate favorably, and wish me luck against the mighty Master Shifu!
