Quoting El Barto !
An impressive beast here, Chief! Are you working from a sketch, or just an idea?
Thanks EB. I did a couple of roughie sketches to get the basic shape I wanted using the Star Wars ISD and SSD arrow head shapes as a guide and added some basic external structures.
Then put on the lego goggles and just went free hand. The caliber of what I see on the MOC pages is a real inspiration. My 5 year old son is now in the lego mad stage and he basically got this big AFOL back into the groove after many years. I ended up buying a lot of the UCS Star Wars lego sets (Millenium, ISD, SSD etc...) with my wife thinking I had gone into an early mid life crisis and did the builds and then decided to create my own big MOC.
I have just about finished the top section now and only have a small section at the rear to complete; then I will post the full spread. I would love to get some ideas on how and what editing programme you use to do the back drops pics on your MOCs (they look awesome by the way) and I think this ship/beast deserves to have a proper launch onto MOC pages.
Thanks again for the comments and thanks for any suggestions.

Nice to see that it's coming along well. Keep going!
Thanks Matt. I have almost finished the remaining top section and finally finished the command tower. I think I will hang off posting more pics until it is completed now, just to not reveal the last bits, ha ha ha hmwaaah haaaa ha ha ha..... That was a weird evil laugh moment.
Watch this space:)

Things like this make me sad. You deserve so many more likes than you have, but they all get spent on... well, everything else. Looks spectacular, and keep on MOCing, man.
I understand what you are saying, but I see it as if people like yourself ( El Presidente) look at the MOC build I am happy. We all put them on here to share the creation; it's like displaying a work of art, you love the praise to encourage you to keep on going. And a legoing I shall go.....I'm lov'in this build.
I put a comment/reply about building a Borg cube before and was wondering if there was one out there in MOC world that anyone has seen?
Thanks for words and yes, keep on MOCing

this looks amazing and really clean to it will look even more amazing when its finished.
Thanks Thomas. I hope it does. I just have to put on the lego goggles and work out the tail end and the Bridge area. This is freak'in doing my brain in. I'm already planning the next ship which should be around the 2.5 metre length and my little boy wants me to build him a BORG cube (cool little dude).
All the best and keep on MOCing.

She cleans up nicely! Looking terrific.
Thanks Mark, and thanks for the update 2 comments. I can understand your itch in trying to get your MOCs done (and mighty fine ones at that)....kids, work, little bit of the wife, more work, Lego and so on. I am coming to the tail end of the ship and my brain is in overload trying to get that right shape and design and I still have no idea what I will do for the bridge. I am thinking of smaller craft attached under the bridge section that can be launched quickly for those surprise attacks. Christmas holidays are coming soon here in Aussie land so I doubt I will get much done then; better get the lego goggles on.
Cheers mate. Adam TG
