Galactica and Cylon Baseship. It has been several days since the Athenians revealed the history of their struggle against the followers of Poseidon.
About this creation
It has given everybody on board pause, thinking back to their interactions with the Triton crew.

What the Athenians described about their origins as well as those of the Poseidon cult still haunts Maverick.

The torture, the experiments...And what of their time on Galactica?

What information might they have been after, about the crew, about Galactica, about Earth?

The fate of his lost pilot, Strummer, remains an unfinished subject as well. Not totally satisfied with the evidence he has been given, the options for what to do about it continue to race in his mind...

Robotics and Engineering Facility, Galactica.

LTCMDR Garry King continues to study the Cylon Centurion captured on Kobol.
Understanding its inner workings was deemed a top priority by CMDR Nempec.

In spite of the damage sustained in the fire fight, the majority of the Cylon's systems remain intact.

King: "Fraking power fluctuations..."

King: "What the?!"

King: "Alright you rusted toaster, back in the chamber..."

King: "Arrghhh!"

King: "CIC, King, we've got a situation..."

Shraga: "Understood, Sir. We'll send the doctor down to you ASAP!"

Nempec: "SitRep!"
Shraga: "Sir, it's the Cylon down in engineering: It's gotten loose. It attacked CMDR King, and it took off!"

Nempec: "Get Mav on the horn, and have him get his team together!"

Mav: "Got it! Figure out what it might be after..."

"Pronto!"

Shraga: "Sirs, here's the schematic for that deck..."

Shraga: "From that part of the ship, the most critical target is likely the Auxiliary Environmental Control room..."
Watchko: "Frak me! It can access the overrides and vent us all into space!"
Nempec: "It's got a head start on us... We've got to box it in, or we'll loose the ship."

Watchko: "Combat: Talk! What's the situation down there?"

Bones: "Bones here, Colonel. We've got some casualties, looks like it went through here in a hurry. What's it's target?...Understood."

Bones: "Alright, boys, looks like we've got our work cut out for us..."

Mav: "Topsy!"

Topsy: "Mav! Thank goodness! I heard it, all I could do was hide..."
Mav: "Good thinking, Topsy, you're a pilot, not a scratching post."

Mav: "Bonsch, take her back to crew quarters, and stay sharp."

Mav: "Corthay and I'll keep going, and meet up with the others..."

Bones: "Here kitty kitty..."

Bones: "All's quiet here, LT, patch me through to Mav..."

Corthay: "Sir, I think the phone's for you..."

Mav: "Okay, Auxiliary Evo....It seems to be taking the long way around, if that's where it's headed"

Mav: "We can take a shortcut through causeway B and meet you there."

Corthay: "After you, Sir."

Outside Auxiliary Environmental Control
Mav: "Alright, Gentlemen, it's just about showtime..."

Mav: "Remember, aim for the head..."

Corthay: "Right for that red eye."

Red: "Yes, Sir!"

Bones: "I hear it..."

Mav: "Let'em have it!!!"

Simon: "Man, that was a close one, Boss!"

Mav: "Scratch one toaster."

"So say we all!"

I have finally finished looking at all the episodes and am loving the BSG fix. You have a really great grasp on what BSG is about and bring your own creativity to the on going saga. I also followed the link to Blood and Chrome; frack'in awesome. I'm annoyed this was a web cast only thought. A TV series would have been good.
Oh well, a BSG fix is better than none I guess.
Looking forward to the next episode and a B&C feature movie.

I think it's going to be aired on TV in the US this Feb. Either way, it looks to be a high quality production with a solid cast. Finally something on SiFi that doesn't involve stumbling around looking for ghosts. Thanks for reading my series, too! |

Oh yeh, and this SO reminded me of that. It was a killer ep for sure. I loved season one and two because they had more time for moody episodic stuff. I think they must have planned to do the whole over story over 6 season rather than 4 and in the end they had to ram it all through in 3 and 4. Still loved it, but those cool stand alone eps seemed to vanish...
And I'd say season 3 kinda dragged with some human interest episodes. I didn't find them that interesting... I hope they go ahead with Blood and Chrome. Enough with the ghost grabbers or whatever those shows are. How about some real SciFi?! |

Another excellent instalment with some great builds and photo techniques too. I like the toothpaste & water in the opening bathroom scenes, which I’m assuming you did with Photoshop! Maverick’s towel & feet are a simple & brilliant idea. The swooshing Cylon fist and blood are very well done, especially the blood on its knuckles as it marches out of the Robotics Facility. I’m glad that Maverick and his team saved the ship but I wonder if the Cylon was actually out to destroy the ship, now we know their back story. All very interesting. Just one question about this episode: don't Maverick’s sunglasses get steamed up in the shower? :)
Thanks! Couple of things... I use gimp, it's free and works like a charm. As far as the Cylon, this one had been stranded on Kobol, then shot back in season one. So it's not really the same as the ones currently on the baseship, or the Athenians (the black robots) just to be clear. Thanks again for the comment! |

Bart,
The wordless panels really heightened the suspense. Great work.

Thanks, Bats! Looks like the scary Halloween bug has bitten us both! |
