Delta7 Aethersprite class light interceptor with Syluire31 hyperspace docking ring
About this creation
This is my Delta7 Aethersprite class light interceptor with Syluire31 hyperspace docking ring. My favorite Star Wars® starfighter. Built the Delta7 at least a year to 2 years ago. Used the instructions from Lego® vers. of the Delta7 and then modified it. I thought of it as a special-ops type insertion vehicle for Obi-wan or maybe Alpha. The hyperdrive ring came next. Props to everyone who has created their own hyperspace ring and posted it to BS. I definitely studied it and used it for inspiration. Hope you all like it, cause I think it's pretty cool!

I like this view.

Overhead view.

Overhead view of cockpit.

Obi-wan in the cockpit. I hinged the canopy in such a way that the housing lies flat.
It took a while to perfect. There's storage in the rear of the ship.
I didn't put the photo here, but it's on the BS page .

Underside. Landing gear retracted. I kept the landing gear sinple and outside for the rear, mostly because it was going to be very difficult to hide it within the body and still keep the model realatively skinny.

Landing gear extended.

Nose of the Delta7 in docking ring.

The hyperring will stand by herself, with the Delta7 docked, but it's precipitous at best and I didn't want them to topple over, so I use the strut to be safe.

The Delta7 fits through the ring, just like she should.

Docking clamp detail.

Greebles galore on the ring.

Detail of conncetion between upper portion of the ring and cross-brace. The cross-brace is thinker than I would have liked, but had to be for structural rigidity reasons so that the ring will stand alone without the Delta7 docked.

Hyperdrive engine detail.

Wow! This has got a lot of detail packed into it. It's a little too beefy, in my opinion, but still looks great!

Very nice and detailed, I like the color sheme You've used, but it's not in the UCS scale but in minifig scale and it's not USC but UCS.
