Central Mining, Exploration & Science Facility Underwater Divers Alantis Submarine Base Aquazone Brickvention 2013
About this creation
It is a combination of 2 X 6195 Neptune Discovery Labs. I really enjoyed building this MOC and found the roof probably the most challenging trying to follow existing slopes and lines without it being too bulky and over complicated. It packs up easy for transportation and storage too.
I also wanted it to be interactive, so the following features were included:
- Working crane and conveyer belt to transport mining materials
- Access inside facility via front/back doors and central hinged opening for easy access to tools and bunker
- Explorer submarine with moving arms and hinged opening for the divers
I Built this as part of my larger MOC called "WaterLegoo" for Brickvention 2013. I hope to have more photos in January next year when I get it out again.
Happy building :)
Ps. If anyone has any suggestions for improvements, please add to the comments... Cheers.

This is fantastic. Such rare baseplates and parts! Cool design too! 5/5
Thanks Nick, this was a fun build. The baseplates come from the 6195 set, I combined two of these sets to make this super one. A friend of mine suggested making it bigger and using the tunnel as the entrance and building a bigger complex behind it as the station. I love his idea and think after I build the castle to go with it, I just might. Thanks for the comment and happy building :)
