Bio-mech
This is my first essay in the Bionicle style. It's not necessarily Bionicle (I have yet to come up with any kind of back story for him), but it's definitely a bio-mechanical being with personality, unique abilities, and a history. The specifics are up for grabs. It's also worth mentioning that I don't have very many custom Bionicle pieces, so, while, admittedly, it was difficult to achieve a Bionicle vibe, I was forced to dispense with many of the tropes and cliches that make many creations within the genre so derivative. All qualifiers aside, take it how you will, and happy MOCing!
About this creation
Battle-ready stance.

Sporting a reinforced shield/vambrace hybrid...

...and a wicked serrated-blade sword.

A pair of single-edged slashing swords stored on his back, with hooked ends to inflict some nasty injuries.

Chest-mounted energy shield projectors.

Neutral stance.

Stripped of armaments and beckoning you closer for a good butt-kicking.

Like a boss.

Twin slashing swords unsheathed and at the ready.

Delivering a shattering blow to some imagined enemy (I'll leave it up to you).

Energy discs for fast, devastating ranged attacks (thank you, Tron).

Better angle on the discs.

Energy spears and forearm mounted cannons.

Wrist-mounted energy spears deliver forceful armor-piercing blows in a close-quarters melee.

A closer look at that bad boy.

Those chest-mounted shield projectors...

...along with forearm-mounted.

Alert pain-bringing mode. Also note the large feet for posing stability.

Scoping it out...

I demand two things. Firstly, I demand more of this epicness! Secondly, I demand more likes on this guy! Seriously, this is one epic MOC.

Quoting Aquarist Shaluub You might want to do something about those chest mounted shield projectors. A recent MOC also had those, only in another color, and it turned out to be a bit of a pickle.
I thought of that after I added them, but I thought they were placed so as not to be confused with what you're talking about. That said, I'm open to changes if people find it distracting or confusing. From where I'm sitting, though, they just give him a more robotic feel.

Quoting Chronos Omega Wow, very nice work in the hybrid style. System and Bionicle can often be difficult to integrate, but there are so many possibilities once you pull it off. :)
Thanks for the kind remarks!
