We had just entered the town of Shoreville. Local intel had confirmed the presence of a Worm type alien creature, machine, and we were sent to report back.
Shoreville had a massive fishery on the outskirts and it was assumed the Worm was there to disrupt food production and steal fresh water.
My unit arrived to find the Worm in the process of draining the main water supply directly from the man-made lake. I contacted HQ and the quickly dispatched aerial support.
A fly past peppered the creature with missiles, but with little effect. Those things could probably take a nuke and keep going.
Then they arrived, the big guns. The red one and the black one just seemed to flicker out of thin air. In seconds they had their laser swords ready and were slicing and dicing the Worm.
That was when the weirdness happened. Something oozed off the Worm's body and coated the Black CyberAgent. It flailed and thrashed, but the goo just seemed to keep growing. Then suddenly, it all just slopped off. Like a layer of dead skin.
My unit got orders to withdraw, we thought it was over and it looked like the CA's did too. Then the white stuff began to change, grow, stand up and morph into something huge and humanoid. Spikes broke from its skin and turned blood red, claws and blades, like bloody razors, extruded from all over the creature. When it finished growing, it was like some alien doppelgänger of the Agents themselves.
