CCCX Avalanche at Deadman's Gorge
About this creation

Built for the CCCX.

Three merchants by the names of Laurence, Watkins, Ellerbee, were traveling to the city of Lyme by way of the high road. However, when stopping at a local inn, they were informed that a hostile army had camped on the road ahead. Dismayed by this information they inquired if any other route was to be taken on the way to Lyme. After hearing several different and ridiculous options, and consulting their map, they decided to take the trail through Deadman's Gorge... They later regretted their ill-informed journey.

This was a lot of fun to make! :) I started work on it yesterday and would have had it uploaded that afternoon, but I had an important Frisbee match. Building smaller scenes is actually very refreshing and allows me to add more detail. I think I have discovered a new tree technique... I think I'll call it "Octo-Tree"! :D By the way... I lost the Frisbee game, Brother Steven's team whupped my team. ;) Oh well... next time!

Thanks for viewing! Have a great day! Feel free to leave a comment! :D

Very good! Although, i believe its called a "rockslide" in this case. An avalance involves snow and ice.

Beautiful rock work and wonderful water. I like the angled panels in the cliff and the random trans bricks as the water. The rock fall is great, though I was half expecting to see a bandit at the top, ready to plunder the unfortunate travellers!

Quoting Stormbringer . I think you've got this CCCX. Another outstanding creation. Those rock formations and how you have them all crooked looking are excellent.
Wow! Thanks Stormbringer! :)
Quoting Justin M Mark, this is lovely in a chaotic way. :) As usual, the rockwork is superb. You definitely have a good chance at winning this category. Thanks to you, I'll be competing. I figured you'd need some competion. ;D Once again, outstanding job.

You are a building machine. Another stunning castle MOC. Just the right balance of colours in he avalanche to prevent it looking like a pile of bricks.
