Stormbringer vs LWC guy
Famous landmarks: The Taj Mahal, The Eiffle Tower, Big Ben, The Great Pyramid of Giza. Pick a famous landmark and show us your version of it. Microscale or minifig scale, it's up to you!
First of all, you may or may not know that my opponent, Stormbringer, has been unable to continue this contest due to being hit by Hurricane Sandy. This is very unfortunate, because he had drop out of last year's MOColympics around this time of the contest as well. Yes, this puts me through to Round 5 by default, but be aware that if he HAD been able to enter, I would stand next to no chance of making it past him. Please pray that he and his family will be kept safe, and pray for their recovery from Sandy.

An aerial view, showing the curvature of the wall.

Overdressed tourists. Well, most of them are overdressed, one still hasn't changed since last time.
Well, thanks for looking, and a massive thanks to you judges - Captain America, Hawkeye and the rest! :)

Stormbringer hit by hurricane Sandy? Someone call the irony police... seriously, our prayers go out to him. In any case, this is a great build, the angles of the wall and the landscape are excellent. Good luck in the final 8! |

Wait, you mean the curves I see on the hill aren't Duplo?
Yup. They're some classic Lego parts, no Duplo :) |

Lovely stroll, that. (Well, Aside from Sebeus.) Anyhow, wonderful work here, and though it's not very fun to win by default, you certainly pulled out all the stops for this build. Great work. |

It's never fun when somebody drops out, especially in these circumstances, but well done on throwing down a good entry and not just coasting through. I'm not so good at scenery so I always like to check out what other people have done and steal things so thanks for that, i'll be back here! Well done on advancing and good luck. |

Excellent job! You've packed quite a bit of detail into the wall! Good on you for posting a legit build and not throwing something together to limp through to the next round! Good luck with the judges.....oh wait.....nevermind! lol |

Well done! I love your work on the green slope. Though I have to agree to some accuracy remarks done here, I think you came up with a serious entry for this "matchup". I know it is no fun to win by default, but you didin't steal the win! :) My thoughts go to Storm as well. Begin warming up for round 5! |

This is a solid build, but it doesn't really resemble the Great Wall. I think it would look better if you replaced that building in the center with a fort-like building. The brown tiles just look out of place in my opinion. Sorry for sounding so harsh, but after going to the place 5-6 times, it's hard to not be critical. Still a great build though :) |

lovely! At first, I thought the wall had no curve, and it really dissappointed me, but once I saw the curve, I enjoyed it... my only 2 complaints are the vast open spaces of land - maybe a tree, pond, or something... maybe you could have incorporated a fight??? and the other dislike is, I don't think it has enough curve. I know I couldn't have done it, but I just thought that might have made it better... congrats on advancing! |

I was in the same position as you last year, maybe Stormy just really likes Kiwis and thus lets us through. Seriously though, unfortunate circumstances are what have given you the opportunity to compete in Round 5, so take it with open arms and embrace the dark side, no wait what?! Embrace the opportunity :) I think after this round you will be carrying the support on NZers all on your own :) Good luck! Go forth and conquer! ~Thoy |

Looks good! I think the prefab wall piece may be a little out of place due to texturing issues, but overall it last looks good. |
