Started out great, right away I had the front shaped and to the size I wanted which was that beginning motivation "this looks like it might work and look good" excitement. which was soon crushed by the fact I used almost all my bley bricks just to make the nose of the ship..
She sat there for months taunting me. "another Moc started to never be."
There was hope! August was coming up. and the yearly Lego run was coming up. for the last 4 years for my birthday I’ve gone to a Lego store somewhere in the country and "go to town" no not that one the other one. >_>
This year we went to the Mall of America Lego store here in Minnesota. with the goal of "BLEYYYY".
we survived Minneapolis merging into traffic and made it back home with buckets of 1x1 bley blocks!
But then there was no progress for months. with the mindset I wanted to finish before the Halo 4 release and November only a couple weeks away my fiancé convinces me to keep working on it.
Which began the next step of taking those 1x1 blocks and turning them into "skin".
My Fiancé volunteers to help me with this process sitting there reading Halo: Glass Lands while working. so smexy <3
Before I even started to create this moc I knew I wanted it to be modular in design, when/ever I do finish this ill want to keep the infinity around for awhile and moving to another state is in our future plans, so making it so I can break it down to transport is important.
There was a moment when designing the sides that I seen this before, in other mocs. I've admired so many great works of art on here like Mark Kelso's ships, learning snot techniques from building Andrew's Viper that I’ve started to incorporate it into my work.
less than 1 day till Halo 4 I wasn't going to finish in time. I decided to post a Work In Progress. I can't see getting much work done anytime soon with so many good games coming out this month.
Hopefully I won't wait a year before I finish. Stamina.

Nice work keep working on it! So do you live in MN if you do so do i. I love the Lego store but to far away so I don't go thier much sad. Lego really needs to open more stores in MN for sure.
I think Grand Forks, ND would be a great spot for a Lego store that would be closer to me. I live in the Bemidji Area.
