LWC Guy Vs Tom Remy
A certain point of view: Tell us an adventure story, but here's the twist. Tell us the story from the perspective of the villain! People aren't just "evil" for the sake of being evil (expect for Dr. Doofenschmirtz of course) so now's your chance to make us root for the bad guy! What's his motivation? What does he want? And why does he feel that his (evil) way is the only way to get it done? You may choose already existing fiction or create your own, the choice is yours.

"Greetings. My name is Krenje and I am a Durbal. Here I am, chained up in a high-security jail cell under human captivity, awaiting a sentence of life imprisonment or even death. How did I get here? Well, I'll tell you my story.

It was nearly a century of human years ago that all this began. My species, the Durbal species, once lived on a planet in the far reaches of this galaxy, a planet held spinning on its axis being controlled by two great stars - the Gawrel and the sun, which we also shared with another intelligent planet, Earth. A Meteor had hit our planet, bringing with it a fatal, infectious disease, known to us as the consteral. It quickly spread, and before long the whole planet was flung into a state of terror, individuals doing all in their power to escape the dreaded infection. Victims, once infected, died in a matter of hours. Coming into contact with an invalid almost definitely meant infection, and then death.

The government of our planet, knowing the desperate situation, acted immediately, setting up a civilian evacuation program. Converting our space navy's three best, largest and fastest ships into a personnel platforms, they took off into space with as many clean Durbals as possible, in hope of finding a livable planet to populate and continue the Durbal race. Our Leader stayed behind and died with the majority of his subjects, like any true Durbal leader would. We drifted through space for years. The most fatal point of our voyage was when we drifted through a mega asteroid belt, out of which only one of our three starships escaped. We were running out of fuel, food and hope when at last the remainder of our fleet sighted a possible home - Earth."

"Earth is a perfectly livable planet, with varied habitats across it's surface, two thirds of which is covered in water. It also took it's heat from our secondary star, the Sun. As we drew closer, we saw that it was inhabited with intelligent life, a species known as humans, and various other animal species, of which the humans showed authority over. We crashed in one of Earth's valleys, surrounded with Humans. Apparently they had been watching us approach their planet for months, and were ready and armed to receive us, if we showed hostility. However, having spent years braving the dangers of space, we were in no great state to fight another intelligent species, especially when their's was a whole planet and our's was a ship full."

"Still, the Humans weren't in a great shape. Due to war amongst themselves and misconduct in using the resources of their planet, they and their planet were in a desperate state."

"However, we had the technology to fix their atmosphere's unbalance and to heal the planet itself. As both species, Durbals and Humans, were on the brink of extinction, we made an agreement. We would restore their planet and work together with them to build a better place to live, if they would let us live here. They agreed, and it was on that day that a new chapter in the history of both species began."

"Together, we built a paradise. The two races were similar in technology levels, but both excelled in different areas. This meant that in combing our knowledge, we could create something amazing. We built tall towers that reached up into the atmosphere, and planted gardens to keep the air pure. These cities reached for miles upon miles, sometimes built over the water surfaces of Earth, sometimes over dessert and forrest, or even ice. With our technologies we managed to maintain a constant, ideal climate throughout these aerial cities, and with the human's means of air-based transport citizens weren't limited to walking across bridges, they could use these vehicles to fly where they wanted. Humans and Durbals shared equal citizenship, and the two species adapted each other's cultures and lifestyles, socialized, and even shared equal positions in parliament."

"It was perfect."

"Myself, I was a scientist. I had worked along side Human and Durbal scientists alike. Employed by the government, we were working on a certain project. We were unsuccessful, or so they thought."

"But Alas, it was not to last."

"Gradually, those Durbals who held places in parliament disappeared. Some fell ill and died, some faced fatal accidents - all were replaced by humans. Soon, Humans and Durbals no longer socialized together, some Durbals in authority were accused of crimes and jailed, surely framed, and a hatred grew between the races. Before long, Durbals were forced out of the cloud cities and onto the planet surface down below, with it's many dangers including extreme climates, chemical and sewer waste, and wild animals that thrived on Durbal flesh. Some areas down here are dirty streets, some are barren wildernesses. Many Durbals died."

"some resorted to the criminalization of their own kind"

"From the first disappearance of a Durbal politician, I knew what was happening. I had never fully trusted the Humans, and I saw a racist attitude start to grow between the species before most did, so I formed a plan. Before things got deadly between the races, I framed my own death. Through others I spread the word that I had fallen to my death from a city bridge, and my body was lost on the surface world. In reality I had fled to a secret location, taking with me the vital information my scientist colleagues and I had uncovered in our experiments - that is, the key to time travel."

"With the help of my faithful assistant, Dwebb, who held the same distaste to Humans that I do, I finished the project we had been working on. I successfully created the supposed impossible, a time machine."

~~~
Krenje: "Well, Dwebb, we have finally finished! The Time Car is complete and ready to fly!"
Dwebb: "Yes, I can't believe we did it!"
Krenje: "Though it isn't the Car itself that is a real breakthrough, it's the transformation of light into a solid substance! With the energy of these time balls we can fuel the car, and with the mind-message transmission controls the pilot can go to any point in history they desire, provided they know a bit about history to determine where to go!"
Dwebb: "Yes, these vehicles could even be used in the future Durbalian empire!"
~~~

"You see, to restore ourselves to our former glory, the Durbals will need to destroy the Human race. Using the time machine, I could go back in time on Earth to when the Human species was young, and annihilate them then, before they became a powerful force. Taking with me two radiation devices on the back of my vehicle, I could detonate them, (Durbals are immune to radiation, you see) and return to the present, where there would no Humans, and the radiation would have had enough time to disperse itself from the atmosphere and plants regrow!"

~~~
Krenje: "Well, there's nothing to wait for."
Krenje: "I'll just insert the time ball into the vehicle, and I'm ready to go."
Krenje: "Thankyou, Dwebb. I doubt I could have done this without you! I'll be back soon, prepare yourself for a perfect, Human-free Earth! I'll make sure you hold high places in the new Earth!"
Dwebb: "Thanks Krenje, and good luck!"
Krenje: "To freedom!"
Dwebb: "Farewell!"
Krenje: "Up to full speed, everything's working properly, there- there it is! The past is before me!"
Codigee: "Yumnum! Mah name is a Codigee! Iya Eata Krisroachanshannonoshin Stew for luncha! Yumyum numnum!
SWOOOOSSSHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
Codigee: "Ah, yumnum sounding cooked!
CRUNNCCHHHH!!!!!!!
Krenje: "It worked! I'm here! I'm in the past! Doesn't Earth look so different, It's hard to believe that the Humans were naive enough to let this beauty of a planet to go to waste - what fools!"
Krenje: "Now, I'll set up these bombs and- WHAT THE?!?!?!?!"
Dwebb: "Hello Krenje"
Krenje: "What?! Where?! How?! Dwebb, what the heck are you doing here?! How did you get here?! Did you use the other time ball?! Why are these Humans with you?!"
Dwebb: "Hold on there, Krenje,"
Dwebb: "First of all, yes, we used the second time ball. I'm gad you followed my advice in making two."
"and secondly,"
"…My name isn't Dwebb."
Krenje: "WHAT?!?!?!?! Horrible Horace the Human Hero!!! What have you done with Dwebb?!"
Horace: "You seem a little slow. Dwebb doesn't exist, I was Dwebb all along. I knew what you were doing from the start, and that you were trying to overthrow the government and form a Durbalian Tyranny over Mankind."
Krenje: "No! You have it wrong! I could see that you Humans were going to overthrow us, I had to retaliate first!"
Horace: "And I also know that you framed your death when that wasn't working. You resorted to stealing your scientist team's project to annihilate mankind. By the time you disappeared, you had already sown seeds of despise amongst your fellow Durbals, they began to attack Humans and rebel. It became so out of hand that we HAD to separate them from us, for the good of both races. You started it all, Krenje, you brought your race down with you. It would all be fine if it wasn't for you."
Krenje: "Fool! I have not brought my kin down, I am in the process of taking them to new levels of honor! You cannot do this to me!"
Horace: "Your side of the story seems a little biased, Krenje."
Horace: "I'm afraid that your scheming days are over. You are under arrest."
~~~

"…and that's how I wound up here, in a top-security jail cell. None of what Horace, that traitor, said is true, you should know. Durbals were oppressed by the Humans, they started the conflict, not us. Had it not been for that imposter, Dwebb, Humans would be extinct by now, and I would be setting up the Humanless New Earth under my order. Still, it will happen in time. Ha! The fools think they can contain me, but in fact These confinement technologies were created by Durbals! But what these idiotic Humans don't understand.."

"…is that no man can contain me."

...And that's it! Well, done if you read that, you get a virtual cookie :)

This has been an awesome category, but the problem is that when I got it, I realized that I was going on a holiday in the next four days. At first, my heart sank. Instantly I almost gave up the idea of being able to build something in the next three days. I got over it :) I know this is the sort of category that I should spend alot of time thinking about first, but having so little time, I needed to start building as soon as possible. So I went with the very first idea that popped into my head, and after scribbling a few things down, I got started. I figured out the seven things I would need to build, and went through the list, photographing and breaking down the builds as soon as they were finished. while on holiday I wrote the story, (I only had the idea vaguely formed in my head as I built) and am now finishing posting it. It was a big pain posting, all the photos got jumbled up, so I had to muck around with Html for an hour :(

(The space ship crashing FP scene was very much inspired by this)

Anyway, thanks for watching, and best of luck Tom! I can't wait to see your entry!

Hey LWC Guy, I'd like to personally apologize to you and all the other contestants for dropping off the face of MOCpages when I was supposed to be judging. With family obligations and near-finals homework and projects, I completely neglected the MocOlympics, and for that I'm sorry. Luckily, Kelso and Moodswim were able to help out! Thanks for playing!

Great stuff, LWC! I particularly liked your interpretation of a futuristic "sky-city." Honestly, your story was far better than Tom's but his build quality just beat yours by a little bit. It was a tough choice, but my vote goes to Mr. Remy.

You know considering you only had a couple of days to build this it's really good! Both stories were interesting and had great funny scenes. Ah but the mocolympics is a harsh and unforgiving thing (I know from experience!), I gave my vote to Tom, sorry mate :)

Great story. At the end of it I think I really do sympathize more with the 'bad guy' than the humans! Fantastic effort - especially given your time constraints - and good luck!

its a clean crisp build but I am going to give this one to your opponent, i just thought he built a lot more for his entry.

Whew, this took a long time to read and judge, your opponents entry as well, I'll keep it short, your opponent has my vote. Nevertheless, I enjoyed your entry a lot, keep it up.
