Morvain, "The Fallen"
Just a quicky.
About this creation
Just a real quick post. Don't really have a load of time today. But, I needed to get this posted before the pictures got lost somewhere in the mass amount of files in my computer...

Anyhoot, here we are.

"Morvain... Another of the few called who were of the strange race call Etherians. He is a being of mystery. The mystery is not what he did in his past life, having been a lowly soldier in the king's army, but rather, how he is alive. He is one of only three beings to have ever changed back from being a shadowed one. Of course, even this is not the real mystery. We keep careful records of all called to the Garden. He is not on any of them..."

Morvain sat on a branch twenty feet in the air.
The sunrise was pink and orange, pretty colors to anyone else, but to Morvain, a being who had seen many such sunrises, none of which had been peaceful, the colors brought him only pain.
Today was the calling day, and the people were preparing for when the next being would be called to the Garden.
Morvain felt very little connection to the joyful people who gathered in the town square. It wasn't that he didn't like them, but rather that he was not really one of them.
Yes, he had been called. Elohm had called to him, even when he had become little more than a pathetic puppet of shadow. Elohm had called him to come to this world for a purpose that no one else would be able to accomplish.
But he had not come as the rest had.
Morvain looked out to the northern fields.
He had arrived in this world in the middle of the black forest.
There he hadn't stood a chance.
He was nothing more than a decaying beast of thin mangled black bones within a week.
Yet, even in this state, he heard Elohm calling him.
And when the opportunity presented itself, he answered.
Though, when he attempted to answer, the puppet master holding firm to it's pathetic puppet tried to stop Elohm's plan.
The dark voice forced Morvain to attack Aivren.
The fight ended with Aivren dragging them both to Elohm's realm.
Aivren was healed and sent back.
Morvain was kept, and Elohm welcomed him with open arms.
When the time came, Morvain was allowed to leave Elohm's realm, and he did so, finding himself changed and standing on the shores of the great lake in the Garden.
The people of the Garden hadn't accepted him very well at first, but both Esh and Aivren supported him. Soon, the people had accepted him to the point where he was one of the scouting teams that explored the black forest.
Morvain's knowledge of the black forest, and the shadowed ones themselves had proven invaluable to all.
Unfortunately, becoming a shadow being had stolen most of Morvain's ability to control time energy within a twenty-five foot radius. It has been limited to a mere five feet and Morvain can only hold control for two minutes.
Still, he was alive.
And he would fight against the shadowed beings until he no longer could, and when he finally died, as he believed he should have years before, he would go back to Elohm, the only master he would ever let himself have again.

So, yeah. On to the pics.

Semi-dramatic pose. Not, but hey.

So yeah, the main purpose in this guy was the hood. After which I tried to create the look of a tattered cape. I think it came out looking like hair, but I still think it looks good XD

He looks slightly skeletal because of being a shadowed one. Spooky stuff man.

Claw pose. His only weapon, though he doesn't really need one. most shadow beings run from him because they know what he was, and what he is.

Bowing.

Looking off into the distance.

Not really sure what kind of a pose this is. But it works as a classic L.A. type ending shot! XD

Creator's Comments: Quick post. Just another Etherian, the main purpose of which was mainly to try and drag myself out of my MOCing block. Which it did, as I've got something mediumly big and cool on the way next time. Beyond that, this guy was built strictly to try the hood design.

Thanks for viewing! Tschuess alle! :)

Quoting Topsy Creatori(StoveTop nomore!) Love the 'hooded' mysterious head. Sorry I did not comment at the time he came out! I think what happened is that at the time I was viewing I did not have the time to read the background story..... then I simply forgot to come back! But better late than never! :)
Lol, that's fine. Thanks Topsy :)

Nice build here Gale! It's been a while ;). Anyway, I like the overall look to him, but I can't really tell what the head looks like, maybe because of the hood. I agree that the cloak looks like a hood, maybe the piece from that old Bio Titan Karzarmhi (or something like that) would work better? Oh, I have been working on Goldfrost, he now has several greebles, new feet, and two new weapons, a staff and a small dagger. I will probably post him sometime soon. edit: I got my terms confused XD, the cape looks like hair, not a hood.

Thanks Garrett. I don't know what piece your talking about, as I never got the Karzahni set. And yes, it looks like hair, but it is some pretty sweet hair, yes? ;) Cool, looking forward to it. :)

Quoting Coconut Fanatic Redemption repre-SENT!! Awesome Etherian for today, lovely dead look. Normally when I want to have little legs and limbs, I use them new hero factory little limbs. But the combining the red and black looks good. And the hood, love it. So we have another dead-ish person, lovely. Loverly loverly.
Thanks Terilis. I would have used those tiny bone pieces but I have only two in black. While I may possess a fair amount of the older technic bricks, my collection of HF leaves a bit to be desired.

Quoting David Alexander Smith Strange I read welding eye shield more than hair. He looks both bulky and armoured and yet quite flexible. Quite an interesting and unusual build. Black and red always work well as a colour scheme.
Well, I do not have the artistic eye you possess, so perhaps that is why. Thanks David :)

Quoting L.A. Miranda Two Etherians on a day, I'm on the mood of hugging everyone now. (?) Thanks again for building another one, my dear Gale. It makes me very happy each time I see one member of the family! However, at this rhythm, you could even build more Etherians than me... e__e I need to build more, I guess. Well, onto the MOC! I really thought you made a Grim Reaper one, due to the hood and look. However, how you write the story (yup, I love reading your stories) gives him an even more mysterious, spooky look than if Morvain was 'The Death'! I love the torso, specially the chest detail. Because those parts are rare for me, and I don't usually disassemble a MOC, I wouldn't use those parts as decoration, that's because I'm so impressed. The hood is awesome too, but since there isn't a picture of the back, I can't figure how the cape is designed very well. I always wanted to use a similar head design (with a HF plate for helmet) but I never managed to build one good. So, again, I'm impressed. Great, great job, my dear. And thanks the Great Spirit you feel better!
Lol, yes, but I think I'll skip the hug for now X3 It's no problem at all for me to make these, they are really fun and don't use up a whole lot of pieces. The only problem with them is that I get a tad too attached, and then don't want to take them apart XD And honestly, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't trying to build more than you XD Yes, that piece is rare for me too, but when I built this guy, I had it lying in front of me, so it got used, despite it's rarity. I'm glad someone reads the stories lol, I really enjoy writing them. I know I forgot the picture of the back, but I'm sure if you try looking at the pictures, figuring out how the head and cape/hair thing works won't be too hard. Anyhoot, thanks for the kind words :)

Actually it tends to be a more badass sort of cute, like Nate's sensei frog MOC (forgot the name).

Thanks. Yeah, little better today. Of course having a long weekend away from school helps with that, don't it? XD
