After my annoying 31 vignettes project, I finally have time for something bigger and better.
About this creation
It took me about 3 weeks to complete. It's my biggest MOC right now, and also my first good castle.
Now here are more pictures:
Diorama from many different angles.
Warrior from the castle is greeting a traveler, to offer him a stay.
The child is feeding the dogs.
Guard is just watching...
Some guy is carrying sticks for later use, while the lady is heading towards the tower.
Archer is leaving the castle, to hunt for food.
And this chap is watching dragons from atops of this tower.
And here are the dragons! Crew from the castle ignores them, because they already know which types of dragons are agressive and dangerous and which are peaceful and calm.
The rockwork. No more dk. gray slopes left.
And here is the crew.
The baby red dragons, who just learned how to fly. The still don't do it high in the air, but just above the tree tops. They can't breathe fire yet, which makes them completely peaceful. Oh and these are baby versions of my earlier dragon. It wasn't posted on MOCpages yet, and was built for our co-op build with Deus Otiosus.
I hope you like it!
Constructive criticism is very welcome!
All the different angles that are not 90 degrees add a lot of interest to this castle. I'm probably going to spend a lot of time looking at the full sized pics to learn your technique. The 2x1 with offset dot used for the lady's skirt is inspired. With your leave, I will use that in one of my MOCs.
A great looking castle, with lots idfferent and interesting angles for the walls and towers. I like the pointy tops to the battlements and how the top of the highest tower is set at an angle to the tower itself. The dragons have loads of character and I think that they're quite cute. I think that the rock could do with something on top of it, perhaps just a bit of green or a mini-fig doing some activity (dragon watching?) to break up the flat, grey studs. It would also be great to see a photo of what mysterious things are hidden in the cave. Great building work!
