About this creation

A basic gondola car used by maintenance crews on my layout.

The main body is the trailer from #7686 Helicopter Transporter. When I took the trailer apart and built my Lo-Boy trailer I decided the original trailer with the red and white stickers on the corners would work well for this model. The number I chose is roughly based on New York City Transit numbering for MOW cars like this; the G is for gondola and the number 319 I took from one of their hopper cars, H319.

It has "LRTS" lettering on both sides. The LRTS acronym is from the Emerald Night set, and I'm taking it to mean LEGO Railroad Transportation System.

The gondola is loaded with old LEGO train rails as crews replace track on my lines...

...and the Brandt truck will take the old rails away!
