AEGAKS 121 CWh "Storm" (Blitz Mk.II)
As I promised...the 121 CWh "Storm", the direct descendant of the "Blitz". Just like its predecessor, the "Storm" specializes in recon and/or assualt operations, especially those that require hit and run tactics, but features additions like the sensor head, weapons, EMP-reinforced frame, and more module hard-points. On a side note, please excuse the blur on some the pics, my camera was not cooperating that day...
About this creation

An improvment that the Storm has over its older "Blitz" is the new modulabilty of the frame and armor plates as shown here, with the Storm in a assualt loadout, featuring the new rifle, shield pauldron, and rocket pod module shoulder mount.

Modules and armor plates can be configured in a matter of minutes, still staying true to the Blitz's spirit of rapid deployment.

Another notable improvement is the addition of the camera/sensor "head", a feature the older Blitz lacked but made up for its sholder mounted sensor suite. Field tests later deemed the older sensor setup to be too uncomfortable and took too long to calibrate for the pilots, thus the installtion of the head. As seen here, it includes a more upgraded sensor and communication package than the average AEGAKS "head". However it leaves it more vulnerable thus speed and flexibity is a must for the operators of the "Storm" mechs.

Seen here is the new thrust pack, completely intergrated into the frame. Not as powerful as most other AEGAKS" on its own, it is meant to used in tandem with the compound legs.

Not a sight most would like to see...

The Mk2A1 is the new primary rail rifle of the Storm, using a specializied Electro Magnetic Jacketing (EMJ) system to propel the 20mm caseless rounds at tremendous speeds. Although not as powerful as the old 100mm sabot rifle, it is capable of playing hell with shielding systems and ventilating a variety of armor material at longer engagements, thanks to the 500 round drum and a constantly recharging powercell...

Note the addition of the side mounted laser and torch module, holo and iron-sight configuration.

The elbow blades of the older Blitz return, still as lethal as ever. Although the wrist weapons had to make way for the new arm design, some of the more crazy veterans of the Blitz units are more than happy to see that the tactic of ambushing enemy drones by storming into the lines, elbow blades outs has still retain its usefullness.

Like most other AEGAKS units, the Storm is equipped with the standard under-arm mounted beam saber.

Of course, for the more old-fashioned pilots, a combat knife is availible...

Although not high tech as an energy blade, its more orthodox than the built in elbow "blades". After all, nothing is more satisfying than slamming 3 meters of high grade, laser edged titanium into a robot drone's head...or back or whatever the hell passes for a weak spot these days.

Close-up.

Standalone.

Although the OLD wrist mounted weapons won't be coming back, they have been replaced with the optional, 45mm dual-barreled grenade launcher. Since each shell has a crude, in-built rocket motor, "lobbing" the rounds will not be necessary over longer distances.

Combined with a hard-tipped warhead and spring loaded barbs that dig into the target upon impact, it is quite effective in harassing or even in some cases, critcally harming the larger, well-armored Commander and Titan class drones that are at the robots disposal...

Pose.

The aforemented shield pauldron. Although it decreases mobility and speed of the Storm, it allows the option for a rapid-deployment vanguard unit in frontline offensives...

Weight was thought to be a problem with the pauldron due to use of materials (similar to the one used on the 108 "Titan"), but the compound legs of the Storm was than enough to compensate...

The eight-shot "Octet" rocket launcher. Its portable and light design allows it for easy maintence, reloading, and storage (both on and off the mech) Although overall damage/firepower is pretty medicore, its EMP warheads makes up for it...

Primed and ready to fire.

Flipped down.

The ejectable pilot block and powercells, a key feature of every AEGAKS...

The two powercells. The large one on the left powers practically 90% of the mech with the smaller one used mostly for an overall power boost

Pilot and his block.

Credit goes to Rabid Goldfish for AEGAKS concept and frame design. Also shout-out to CEO Luiz Carmago for the rifle sight idea.
