Zaku - Heavy Gunner
Gundam Universe inspired - Zaku Heavy Gunner Mech...
About this creation
Another MOC from the Gundam Universe, another opponent for my Gundam RX 78-2 and friends. I present to you my custom Zaku - Heavy Gunner. This model was made using a modified version of my mech factory frame V1.5 so it allows for a minifig pilot and is more poseable. Like my commander type Zaku, I am very happy with the head, this Zaku is not from any real Gundam canon and is my own custom take on what a heavy gunner Zaku might look like. The gun is an expansion on the idea I used way back for my WFC Optimus.

Pls also check out my YouTube video for more details on this MOC: click here! .

More Mech and Legoformer creations on the way!

PS the next legoformer that I will post which should be done by next weekend starts with a B!

Sorry for the bad photography - my usual set-up was unavailable....

Great poses, shaping and use of different greys to produce one bulky and mean looking mech. Fantastic as ever!

Nice choice for the colors, it looks like full tough iron. The gun is such a "kill"... The overall feeling is sturdyness, strength and not a single pound of humor... ;) What a beast!!

This guy is a foot tall if you look at my Red Zaku II MOC http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/341650 you will see his minifig pilot standing beside for scale comparrisson!
Quoting cyberfrank 2010 nicely done! grey looks nice on a robot, for a sense of scale, how tall is it? compared to a fig, or building, just once I d like you to build a minifig reference, it s real cool!

Wicked Mech. The Gatling gun is awesome, but I think the coolest thing about him is just the overall "tough" appearance. Well done! Z

I really like the cyclopean head that you've designed for your Zaku MOCs. The red eye in the narrow slit and the inverted radar dishes on top really give them that samurai feel.

I do believe Optimus has been done at that scale - fully power functional transforming though i doubt it! Maybe a project to consider for 2013!
Quoting M McCooey Looking great at as usual! I think I've seen this guy done at Teknomeka Scale. Speaking of which, no one has done an Optimus Prime at that scale yet. I nominate you! I'd love to see the detail you could put into that scale, transformable or not. If transformable though, just think of how complex the transformations could be! You could even make them power functions controlled! Just picture the Youtube video of a transformer's Moc that transforms itself!!!

maybe a project for 2013 and 2014 then! We'll see if I have time for something that ambitious, if I do or not it will be a long process!
Quoting M McCooey Really? I've never seen it? Still, you've done some power functions stuff, and you still have the definitive Optimus in my opinion, plus you know all of the in's and outs of the transformation, I really think you could do it. It would probably be your only project for 2013, I've built 2 (well 1 and 1/2) that did not transform, and they took me several months. That plus the engineering of the transformation, you may have your schedule pretty full. That being said, I think it would be your Sistine Chapel!

Wow, Chris, and nice Zaku mecha by the way. The more that I see your Gundam, the more that I want to watch and read about Gundam and play Gundam video games (particularly those on the PS2 and PS3). At any rate, I have a new idea for you that's completely out of left field. Do you remember those Transformers that were based upon real vehicles a few years ago? Well, I have a unique idea on an anime, manga, and video game franchise that would cater to a shoujo side of the MOC Pages fanbase if you wish to discuss this matter further. Please let me know if you're interested, Chris. Thanks.

not very familiar with battletech - i will have to do some homework.
Quoting Chris Phipson Nice and solid looking! Hey... I've been wondering... what do you think you could do in the Battletech universe? I'd love to see a dio with a couple of Mad Cats and some Elementals... just a thought and YOU'RE the dude to talk to about those kinds of builds... ~ Chris.
