About this creation
This is a guide for anyone who wants to build my Normandy SR2, requested by Donald Hallama (You should check out his large scale Normandy)
Start with this piece...
Add two skeleton arms (these are the old ones from the Castle sets)
Place on a 3x2 flat
Put a white 4x2 flat here
Place these flat pieces on top
Add an 8x2 underneath
Place a 2x2 here...
...then a black 1x2 flat and orange 1x2
Put this piece on top
Add a 6x2 flat
Then get these three pieces...
...and place them here
Add these flat pieces here
Next, place 4 of these connecting piece on a black 2x4 flat
It should be able to fit nicely under the pieces you just made...
Then put this piece on the end
Note: you can use a 6x1 flat instead of a 2 and 4x1 flats.
Put these pieces on the back
Then add this piece...
...and finish with two 2x1s (again, you can use a 4x1 if you want)
Get a 4x1 flat and 3x1 flat
Connect with 2x1 and 4x1 (or 6x1) flat
Place on top
Tuck in a black 3x1 flat
Then add a 4x1
And finish with a 4x1 topped with a 2x1 smooth
Complete with an 8x1 smooth
Make two of these
Attach by the middle of this black piece...
...like so
Then attach the back of the ship with the front
Get a 4x1 flat
Add another
Then a smooth
Finally add one of these slope pieces
This should fit perfectly on the front of the ship.
Now the main body is done!
For the wings, first place a black triangular piece along side one of these connecting pieces
Then join with a white
Note: For the following component, make 4
Add to the wing
Then add a 2x2 flat
Add these
Get a 2x1
Then add this white 4x1.
You can use a normal 4x1, or you could even make your own decal
Then add a black grate piece
Place on the wing
Place this piece, with another black grate on top
Add another engine underneath (For that grey piece, you can use a black one, I just didn't have enough)
Underneath, add a 4x1 here
Then attach a grate piece where the 4x1 sticks out.
Once you've made both wings (Completely identical) you only have a few more steps to go...
Get this piece
Then add this rail piece
Next, assort this bricks like so. If you want, you can use a normal 1x2 instead of that one at the bottom, I just had to use that because of the stand I made
Finally add these sloped pieces on top
Lastly, add these pieces to the other side of the double-sided stud brick.
Place this under the ship
Finally, add the wings. There you have your own miniature Normandy SR2! I left out the stand since it would be pretty pointless to include it, and you might want to make your own custom stand anyway.
Quoting Donald Hallama
Thanks!
I'm working on it as time allows (digging for pieces takes a while) I've decided to build the ME3 rev. (Blue) due to the colors that I've been able to scrounge up. It's a fun build.
