Built for The Guilds of Historica over on Eurobricks.
This is my first real "Castle"....everything else was dabbling. Still not that big, but my collection limits me! Anyway, I learned quite a bit from this build and am excited to get some more going.
About this creation
Kalihplin is a Guild of Historica and it is based in the Desert. This particular castle is located in the Withered Woods on the North Western edge of the Desert and is home to the Aridesti Elves.
This is, by far, the most daring MOC I've seen in a long time. I didn't think it was possible to make such a large, ROUND, building and make it look smooth on the roof, integrated with other structures nicely as such. The landscape is awesome, too. My hat goes off to you, sir! I'll just take a pic and set it as desktop background, if you don't mind ;)
Wow Kayne, your builds are coming along in leaps and bounds. You've done a great job with the angled walls in this creation and the sheer size of it is very impressive.
I can't help it though - something just keeps drawing me back to Kaliph Moria! :)
WOW! Simply gorgeous build. I love all the textures you were able to give to this beauty. The roof looks fantastic. I like how you built the castle to be bulky, yet were able to maintain a certain airiness to the overall composition. The curve of the building is genius enough, but how you were still able to push the capabilities of the bricks to hug that wall with the rock work is a mind boggler. So very well done!
Excellent work mate! I'm loving the angles, the techniques and the overall composition is spot on. The only CC needed here is your water, it looks great, but maybe try to adapt some sort of tessellating pattern to break up the linear grain of the surface :) Great work, one of your best to date, so well done. ~Thoy
Very nice work, all the little plants, and the curved wall and bridge, they are all just awesome! I just want to make this comment long to hopefully flatter you, (;)) and get it out to you that this build is really, really, quite an awesome piece of work. And that shield really sticks out to me! (I like it)
