Thanks for participating in the Christmas Contest! 2/5 for originality/presentation - not an overly original idea. If you'd made a small scene inside the present, or a working jack-in-the-box or something, that might have been different! 3/10 for build quality - the opening tag is nice, but that's really the only interesting use of parts/building techniques. 3/5 for presentation - it's easy to see what you've built, but a clean, solid background and brighter photos will help your creations to stand out! Also, links and html don't work in the "Introduction" section, so be sure to put those in the "About this Creation" part. Just a helpful hint for future reference! :) Total score = 8/20.
2/5 for originality. While it's a present which fits the Christmas theme pretty well, I fail to see a whole lot that's unique about it. That said, including an opening tag was a good idea which I'd not have thought of. 3/10 for build quality. Unfortunately, I feel that this is a tad too simplistic. It's pretty much just a box, one of the easiest things to do in LEGO. The yellow ribbon is only on the top, and the tag was fairly unrecognizable. If you had've taken a moment to add the ribbon pattern to the sides of the box, refined the tag, and perhaps built a toy for inside the box, your score would have improved a lot. 2/5 for presentation. The photos weren't as clear or as well lit as they could have been, and the background was distracting. Still, the photos weren't too blurry, and it was easy enough to make out what you'd done. Total: 7/20 Granted, not the best score ever. Still, I think that if you take a bit more time to work on your next creation and perhaps set up a photography area with a cardstock background and either sunlight or some lamps around, you could really build some cool stuff. All the best in the new year!
3/5 for creativity, a present is a simple idea. 5/10 for build, a cleaner build would have been nicer, and maybe something in the present. 2/5 for presentation. A cleaner background and clearer photos is better. All in all, 10/20.
