USCSS Nostromo
As i promised - here is the USCSS Nostromo in real bricks... ;-) A spaceship from the movie Alien I (Ridley Scott 1979)
About this creation
For more infos click here

After a long journey of over 3 month planing, making plans/partlists etc. i'm finished !
At the moment this is my biggest and (i think...) best MOC so far. O.k. 14 pieces left - but i couldn't resist to don't post that... ;-) I will change some pics, when the last order is here!

Update 08.12.2012: the last pieces arrived me and so i uploaded some new pics ;-) !

It consist of over 9000 parts. I had to change some sections which wasn't clear in LDD that the stability wasn't strong enough - but i get it ;-) !

This lady measures:
in length: 75cm
in wide: 44cm
in height: 24,5cm
weight: anywhere between 5 & 6kg

But now to the pictures...

some details

(changed)

also under the docking module are pipes

pipework next to the docking module (why did they make this 7 sided - ??

some detail of the engines, where you can see the different heights

Here you can see the "little" (haha - one piece!) Narcissus which Ripley used to get away from the Nostromo.

the lift to get in the ship

some of many referenz pictures i found

This is just phenomenal work. As is obvious from the few MOCs I have posted, I am very much into the whole Aliens thing and this design of a classic ship is a good as it gets. Just amazing. When I saw the LDD designs I was blown away but thought that it would never really be seen in real brick form. And yet, you did it! I am more than impressed!

MY LORD!!! Highly impressive. Your tease with the LDD baited me as well as everyone else in the hopes of seeing this thing come to fruition. You have far exceeded those expectations. Thanks Daniel ! i was really excited if this would work in real bricks... As i was building it i had to support the engines on the back, because it was lift up on the front. And i thought - sh... But finished it really stands on that 3 little pieces. And it's weight is about 5-7kg (only valued!)

Sci-Fi isn't normally my bag, but it's highlighted on The Lego Car Blog at the moment and it's even better here - plus taking photos of something this black is tricky but you've nailed it. Does it have an interior though? Even if it doesn't, it's a superb MOC : ) 10/10
Thank you so much! a ton of work isn't enough... I don't know how much time i've spent on this :-) => only assembling was about 40 hours - but designing the LDD and make all (about 2000) screenshots for building it need much more time... Thank you also for the bloging info ! I found 2 more - wow !

An amazing creation - this must've taken a ton of work! Sci-Fi isn't normally my bag, but it's highlighted on The Lego Car Blog at the moment and it's even better here - plus taking photos of something this black is tricky but you've nailed it. Does it have an interior though? Even if it doesn't, it's a superb MOC : ) 10/10

Movie quality detail on this, Dude! Even in those super close ups, it's barely recognizable as Lego. Awesome work!!

Flawless MOC. Everyone has said it all already. It looked impressive in LDD but I'm so glad to see it completed in real bricks. Expensive, time consuming and worth it. Well done.

Sweet. Now if only it was up against a black background to make it look all chromy and such. But seriously, this is very detailed, and even in the few shots that it was in the movie, this looks so accurate and detailed. A true work of art.

Amazing job man! Just wondering, did everything work out as you planned in LDD, or did you need to do some modifications along the way?

Wow, this is fantastic! The shape is great and I particularly like all the textures. The use of those black 2x2 spinning-piece-less plates is brilliant.

Quoting George G. Pfffft 3 months? I did mine in 10 days ;) Joking aside, this is absolutely awesome! So many details and angles that I didn't believe were possible to do with LEGO - you have proved me wrong! Congratulations on a most wonderful creation my friend :)
Many thanks to a "challenger" ;-) First as i saw your ship i thought - damm, somebody did this before me... And again: congratulations to you, that you build this in 10 days...

Quoting L.A. Miranda I cant believe a human made this. You have to be a robot or something, my dear. The massive proportions, the high level of detailing... God, even conductors and refrigeration systm! And the engines! This is too incredible for being made only by one person! Tell us the truth, from which planet are you? ;)
Thank you ;-) i'm from LV-426 - hahaha. No i'm from earth, but i felt in love with this ship. And i wanted to rebuilt a ship for the first time. And so i thought don't "just" do it... Do it as similar to the real one.
