I'm beginning to like SNOT building! This was a fun build for me, although it was kind of difficult for me to come up with an idea. I had at first decided to build a scene involving astronauts and aliens, but none of my SNOT techniques were any good, and when they were, they weren't the main focus of the build. So I took to the skies... or stars... and decided to build a Mars Mission inspired ship. And I did. I think it turned out great for it being my first Micro/Nano MOC ever. But it needed something more. So I made a Mars Mission alien ship. It turned out good as well. I constructed the tiny ships out of pieces I had wanted to use but didn't end up using them anywhere. I was all set to take pictures when I realized they needed ships sized between both the frigates and the cruisers. So I built two destroyers. I am very happy with the end result: eight ships ready to engage in space combat!
This is the cover photo as well as a group shot of my Nano ships. All of them use SNOT techniques except for the small cruisers. I call the big ones frigates, the medium ones destroyers, and the small ones cruisers.

The engines. I used Mars Mission wheels and am very satisfied with how it turned out.

Speaking of General Grievous, I used his body (of which I have two) to create the starship body. A translucent orange plate completed the look.
And now onto the aliens' ship! As you can see, it is indeed built sideways.

The engines. I used a radio for some sort of communications array. It worked quite nicely.

I used the two Power Miner angled grate plates and a wheel well.

Step 4! If you don't have a green stud, use any other color to make it unique! perhaps the bombers have a slightly different tail fin and a purple stud?

My idea was to have these be massive ships. The cruisers would be like the size of the U.S.S. Enterprise. The frigates, then, are the Star Destroyers of Star Wars. The destroyers would then be the size of a Borg Cube. perhaps not quite those scales, but roughly.

Aha! Extremely good! I love the mini starships, and how they can disconnect well. You did the description well, and pointed out everything, which I like. This was VERY close. Score = 4.7 Excellent job!
