Boromir's Last Stand
Amon-hen: Boromir's Last Stand...
About this creation
"As the Fellowship continues their journey past Lothlorien, they are held back at Amon-hen and are confronted by a group of Uruk-hai scouts and their leader, Lurtz, to separate the Fellowship from each other and take away the Halfling who carries the One Ring...

But even Boromir, son of Denethor II of Gondor, could not resist the power of the One Ring, and after a failed attempt to take the ring from Frodo, he was faced with one chance to redeem himself. Slaying Uruk-hai after Uruk-hai, Boromir displayed his strength in battle, but none of this lasted, for the Uruk-hai leader Lurtz had already come; bow in hand, with the first arrow to be fired..."

____________________________________________________________

For this next LOTR MOC of mine, I decided to build Amon-hen; specifically the moment which is known as Boromir's Last Stand. I might do other Amon-hen related scenes in the future, such as the Seat of Seeing.

Hope you enjoyed, C&C is welcome as usual.

Another awesome little scene, the amount of detail you've packed in without overloading it is inspiring.

Quoting Ian Spacek I'm sorry to do this, but after talking with one of the other judges for a second opinion, we're going to remove your build from the contest. We gave you just under 48 hours to respond and/or make the necessary changes, but as nothing has happened, we cannot just let the rules be ignored. Taking into consideration that the MELO is a new contest, you do still have permission to craft another entry in accordance with the rules. Aside from the contest, I personally think this is a great build. Keep 'em coming!
Oh, right. I'm not very active on MOCpages, so I couldn't respond within 48 hours. Somebody on Flickr told me about the contest and told me I'd probably still be able to enter, but as one might perhaps see, I'm not very active around here.

Ian, you're right; I saw this a while back and while it is awesome, it wasn't build for the contest.

Really great work! I love the base and the statue, as well as the crumbling formation in the background. Fantastic texture and coloring on the ground!

A lovely build, however, if you wish to enter it in the MELO, you'll have to change the title and add the required link(s). If you do not do these things, it will either be removed from the group or Dq'd a lot of points. Every contestant only gets this reminder once. It also doesn't seem as though this was built specifically for the contest, as we've asked entries to be. You may just want to remove it from the group yourself, read the rules, and build another entry (if I'm wrong, then just change the title and add the required link(s)).
