Hello, My name is Grant Davis, I am currently 14 years old, And this is about the 5th castle I have made.
About this creation
My entry into the CCCX category: Castle, I am mostly done with the build. Updated pictures should come tomorrow.
1 extra point the CCCX offers is the Cross-Catagory awards, This years are
"Historian - Use your entry to teach us something about medieval life or real historical people and events.
Friend - Include elements from the Friends line (even figs) in a clever way.
Collectible - Prominently feature a fig from the Collectible line (any series).
NPU - Utilize a 'useless part' - that is, one that is definitely not intended for castle building (aside from a Friends part, I guess).
Scales - Somehow mix scales in your fig-scaled MOC - maybe by incorporating microscale to give forced perspective, or introduce a giant to your minifigs, etc.
Humor - Make us laugh with your entry.
Best Use of Duplo - Use Duplo to give your castle MOC that extra edge. (Hint: We need to be able to see the Duplo)"
In this specific MOC, I will be making a shot at all 7 of them.
Historian: I will explain them that the Portcullis is currently the Logo for the British Parliament :D
Friend: I will include 1 fig in the rush to the castle gates
Collectible: same as above
NPU: I have chosen to use 3 different train pieces for my useless part (look for them in the castle wall)
Scales: Not the best use of a scale, but I made a micro-scale dragon.
Humor: the Guys on the boat are pretty funny, One seeing the dragon, and the other rowing...
Best Use of Duplo: The little Pond Has some blue duplo Pieces on their side.
the Pictures In no specific order...

Hope you like it!

I'm not really a fan of that water technique at all, I'm not sure why... The castle itself is gorgeous though! |

since I think your competition has a much bigger collection, you should break the rules, and be extra creative, + a surprise, I think the surprise could have been the dragon...you used it creatively, but, it s such a fine and rare part, that it deserves a nice use, your walls, and water technique proves to me, you have a chance, I like the gate, and the overall desing of a castle, in a neat strategic way, 1 access, some pics are nt clear, check your figs, some are from another period, or hide them a little better, if you don t have more, best of luck!!!
Thanks for the Feedback! I will take a look at some of the Figs... I have plenty more :D and as for the pic quality, these aren't my best quality, i'll take some more tomorrow :D

Neat style. That's a new sort of look. It's got lots of creative elements. The sheep are fun, and the small bridge over the creek is nifty. |

Yes, do use this. I'm loving the look of that castle, too cool! I also like how for the most part the base isn't really connecting anywhere yet you've still made it flow together nicely. Well done! |

Looking great man! I like the "Dragon" trees! :)
My only suggestion would be to add a back wall to the castle.
Keep it up! ;)
