An absolute masterpiece! One of the greatest Lego cars ever made! I seem to be saying this a lot recently.. The video is fascinating, I really enjoyed watching it, and the RC function is great. Its also a beautiful car in real life, and you definitely did it justice. I love it!

Watching it drive around it's easy to forget it's Lego. Such is the level of stunning chrome and swooping lines. Go Merc go!

I am glad someone has done the convertible version of this car. I've done the roof version and mine is red just as well :)) All is perfectly done but one thing sticks out though. That slope on the back wheel mudguard is a bit of a pain in the eye for me but all in all a beautiful ride!!!

I agree with the comments below, the lack of studs protruding from this car gives it a smooth, clean and diecast feel to it. Fantastic build.

I fear that the amount of chrome alone would make LEGO reject it, not to mention several pieces that are no longer produced. But I plan on making instruction for this model.

Ok... The shape is really good, you've really well captured the "soul" of the car, so I want to give you 5/5... But! I just can't rate it more than 4/5, 'cause you've done a big error!: give it 4 exhausts, 2 are going out, each side!.. Whereas there 's only two exhaust pipes on the 540K, and they came out from the left side of hood! So: as I said I give you, nevertheless, 4/5 because all the rest is just splendid! ; )
