Messerschmitt Bf (Me) 109
About this creation
The Bf-109 (commenly known as the Me-109) was the standard fighter of the Luftwaffe for the duration of World War II, although it began to be partially replaced by the Focke-Wulf Fw-190 starting in 1941. The Bf-109 scored more aircraft kills in World War II than any other aircraft. At various times it served as an air superiority fighter, an escort fighter, an interceptor, a ground-attack aircraft and a reconnaissance aircraft. Although the Bf-109 had weaknesses, including a short range, and especially a sometimes difficult to handle narrow, outward-retracting undercarriage, it stayed competitive with Allied fighter aircraft until the end of the war.

This was my first attempt at a WWII MOC, and certainly won't be my last. Planes, are a bit hard for me, so I will be revamping this very soon. I personally hate the tail of the plane, and think it could be 10x better, but I was at a loss to how to build the tail. The guns, are also another thing which I would like to improve on also.

Status: alive

A good view of the Me-109 climbing.

A view of the cockpit. I have to say, the pilot looks alot like the old German pilots in WWII.

The yukky tail. This is the worst part of the MOC. Suggestions welcome on how to fix it.

THe front of the airplane. The holes are very misplaced cannons. The Me-109 has 2 machine guns, and 2 cannons. The antenni on the wings are the two machine guns.

The left wing, with the left machine gun, and the German cross.

The Me-109 in mid-turn. I was really pleased with how this came out.

I think that for the tail the increase should be less steap and a bit longer great job!

Very good mini-fig scale version of the "Me-109". Correct size, perhaps it could be a little bit more detailed. For example include landing wheels or some decals. Besides that excelent work!!

For what it is it's great. This is a simplie design for a Me109 easy to make and still looks good. Nice job.
