The large port in the capital city of Loreos is unique in the fact that it is enclosed by a massive sea-wall, and a huge gate guards the entrance. Enormous vessels can safely pass through. The authorities extract a small toll from the merchant ships that visit the port, and in return the fortifications protect the merchantmen from pirates and Outlaws on the seas who would seek to do them ill.
For the Glory of Loreos!!!
This is my second entry to the Trade and Tolls Category.
I've had the idea for this in my mind for awhile now..
Finally got around to building it. ;)
wonderful Mark ! great series you are doing here... again an amazing water design! the timber-framed gate is nice and the little rockwork is beuatiful as always ;-) ! the only thing which scares me is your speed in building them all... Do you dismantel the old while building them :-) ??? Or have you build them all the hole year and just want to post them daily ?
not only do you post marvelous looking pieces, you also innovate, I have never seen a'water gate' before, it looks fab! [of course] great concept, you push the limit of the enveloppe, I love that! congrats!
Excellent, Mark! Definitely one of my favorites in your series of CCCX MOCs thus far. All the textures on the walls of the gateway are fantastic. You're a master of making plastic stone/rock look real! I'm also always a fan of your wooden, somewhat Tudor styled, gatehouses/turrets. Keep 'em coming!
