My latest castle is more or less complete. Just a bit of gardening to do now...
I have designed this castle from scratch(it doesn't exist anywhere) and its designed to look as though it's evolved architecturally over hundreds of years.
Its a mixture of medieval castle, romantic Gothic and Tudor half timber, with a Jacobean wing.
The build is pretty huge and the house has a total of 70 rooms (all furnished and in some case paneled). The rooms include a (60ft equivalent) great hall with hammer beamed roof, a paneled drawing room, great dining room, morning room, kitchen, pantry and wine cellar, the cedar stair case, the great stone staircase, 4 other staircases, a swimming pool, an orangery, 3 bay garage, Chauffeur apartment, reading room, library, music room, study, tower saloon, tower veranda, and countless other rooms including dozens of bedrooms, dressing rooms and attics rooms and loads of corridors and passage ways.
Its 'Minifig scale' and modular, comprising of 7 sections that fit together like a 3D jigsaw so it can be moved.
The size is pretty much governed by the table top it sits on, I would had added another wing if there had been room...
There is also a Rolls Royce, a Bentley, a Range Rover and classic old American car and working Gothic wrought iron gates with baroque style gate posts.
The whole house is lit up at night with loads of power function lights and and Lego chandeliers since its Christmas there is a Tree in the great hall.
Its now been over two years in the making and am glad to say its finally finished, except for a the little bit of gardening in the grounds to do that I mentioned earlier.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed building it and thanks for reading.

This castle looks am-az-ing!!!
The building looks gigantic, looking closely as the detail that has gone into the castle you can tell Mr De Wynter clearly has a keen eye for design. I could totally see myself living here, pulling up in the Rolls Royce that belongs to the house. |

Now this leaves me quite speechless. Definitely one of the best castles at this scale I have ever seen. It's pure awesomeness - especially the mix between timber framework and walls and the asymmetric aspects throughout. It's massive yet elegant. Those chimneys ... But my favourite aspect is the orangery and its roof - fantastic, just like the whole thing. Definitely a reference. |

Wow, since I first saw the early pics of this a year or more ago I have been wondering how you'd got on with progress, I'm not disappointed. The scale is fantastic. Lets see some interior pics please, and constructrion pics. Is it modular? How easy is it to open areas up to view? Outstanding work.
Hi there...
Thanks for you comment.
Yes its modular, 7 sections in all. It can be opened up but i need a suitable camera to do an interior walk through.
Will try and add some more interior shots, the interior is done, with furniture and lights and working doors.
Thanks for looking!
