The soldiers are now pouring into the captured trench. There are two Russian machine gunners using a DP-28 to hold back a German charge. There has been a lot of heavy fighting, so the buildings have been partly destroyed. The trench that the Russians are fighting over was dug by civilians to prepare for the war. There have been many casualties in this battle.
