A 6-wide Minifig scale version of my favourite Technic car, the 8845 Dune Buggy
About this creation
Inspired by Marcus Paul's fantastic minifig scale vehicles I started to build a 6-wide Minifig compatible version of my all time favourite Technic car, the 8845 Dune Buggy.
The first version aleady looked cool, but it was a little too big compared to the size of the minifig (especially the roll cage):
So I shortened the lenght of the model by 2 studs (1 in the front and 1 in the back) and built a smaller rollcage. But I didn't have the right wheels for the model, the ones I used before were just too big.
Then I bought the set 4433 Dirt Bike Transporter with this cool set of balloon tires. Even with the completely new look I think these tires are a good choice: Yes, LEGO Nils has another new toy to play with :-))

And a (more or less) rear view:

This glass panel is really worth it's money :-))
Family meeting:
The original Technic model, the 4-wide and the 6-wide version
So this is my 6-wide Minifig scale version of the LEGO 8845 Dune Buggy.
I hope you like it :-))
P.S.:
Santa brought this to me:
I must have been a good boy ;-))
It's like The Beauty and The Beast united in one model...

... Rebuilding at least some of your 4-wides as 6- or 7-wides would be awesome, maybe we could combine something, there are lots of ideas ... Great job pal, keep it up!
Well, LEGO Nils at least needs a TT, doesn't he? ;-)) And later he'll need a mini van or a station wagon ;-))
Wow, this looks amazing buddy! I love the shaping with that ingenious roll cage and the solution for the steering column. Glad to see you are building some more minifig scale MOCs. I didn't knew this set, but your scaled down version looks amazing compared to the big one! Some nifty part usage (like the windscreen) makes this a great car to drive if I where a minifig ;) Nicely done!
