A Fiery Death
About this creation
Gaspar walked by the river, lost in thought. He was so focused that he failed to notice his surroundings. A shame, for it would be a fatal mistake.

Meanwhile, the wizard Archimago crept alongside the opposite side of the river. He strived for secrecy. No one must see him, as he sought to steal from the royal castle.

Gaspar continued walking. Neither man noticed the other.

Not watching his feet, Gaspar accidentally knocked a stone aside with his foot. The stone fell into the river, making a loud splash. It would be a fatal mistake

Hearing the splash, Archimago looked. He saw the man. Gaspar. He shouted strange words. Fire shot out of his hand, and wrapped around Gaspar, killing him in a fiery prison.

A view of the entire MOC, which rests on a 16x16 base.

I tried some shading with the water, which is nicely shown here.

My entry for the MOCpages Chat Contest Round 1 in the category "Fire".

It's also for the Ultimate LEGOŽ Contest! in the category "Battle".

Quoting Stephen Boe Nice build here! Do you mind if I use that river technique for a LOM build? I'll give you credit of course.
Of course that's fine! You don't have to give me credit, I'm not the inventor of this technique; it's been used plenty of times before. Thanks!

Here's your score from me for the Other Ultimate Lego contest. Total score: 28/30. Great job! Presentation: 10/10. Great job! Creativity and use of category: 8/10. Interesting take on this! But it's not a whole lot like a battle, it's more like, haha! you're done for! Great creativity! Use of Building Techniques: 5/5. You have rock-work, running water, foliage, and the fire ring! Great! Balance: 5/5. Everything in this scene added to the whole!

Excellent! I love well detailed vigs like this one and the size is perfect. The water had great coloring and cascades well. I love the use of classic fire (I don't like the new fire) and I've seen that technique often but I cant figure out how you guys stack it like that; mine just collapse. Great build!

Nice work! That swirly fire's always a great technique, and it's an awesome contrast to the landscape.

Cool! You have the old fire molds! The new ones don't have the little things sticking out that you can connect the fire. I have to use small rubber bands to do that sort of thing, great rocks around the water!

We have changed the group to: http://www.mocpages.com/group.php/22077. You will still be judged but you can always add your entry to the other group; ----- Presentation: 10/10. Creativity: 10/10. Use of Building Techniques: 4/5. I like the fire ring but the build scene isn't shown. Balance: 5/5. Overall: 29/30.
