Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas and new year! For my first MOC of 2013, I've built a '54 Mercury. I built this for two reasons, 1. Because I've never built a 'led sled' before, 2. Because this is my entry into December's LUGNuts challenge over on flickr! I've never built a 'led sled' before, but I've always wanted to, so I spent a lot of time researching them and then decided to start building one. I didn't use chrome this time because I wanted to give it a bit of a unique look, so I used metallic silver instead for the bumpers, side trim, engine, steering wheel, gauges etc., just like Will.I.Am's (you know, that singer ;), '58 Corvette that was built by West Coast Customs. The Mercury is red with white interior, chopped, slammed, shaven and looks real mean! It has suicide doors, a skeleton arm as a gear stick, a Mercury Flathead V8 and is, in my opinion, the best car I have made! I hope you all like it and and enjoy it as much as I enjoyed building it!
