About this creation
My Round 1 entry into the Second Annual "Out of Your Comfort Zone" Contest.
Category: Space

"The year is 1969; millions of people are watching in real life and on live television. History is about to be changed, NASA is about to send the first man to the moon."

Fourth Wall:

As I stated previously, this build is for the Second Annual "Out of Your Comfort Zone" Contest. The category I was given was Space so it was interesting to build as I usally don't often venture out of the Castle theme. By the way, the reason for the pictures not being of the highest quality is due to the fact that I took these pictures when it was dark outside. I had to dig out the old lamp. ;) Good luck everyone and thank you judges for hosting this contest. God Bless and have a great day!
Signed,
-Justin M

Haha, sure I'll invite you back. My comment was nothing too important, but I'll invite you anyway. ;) Feel free to stay and converse if you want to.

Quoting Mark Erickson That's the best use of that helmet I've ever seen! :D Great work! PS. I won't be able to join your MA team. I'm not going to have the time this year. :( Thanks for the invite though! ;)
Thanks Mark. :D To bad you can't join, we all get busy though. It must've been the CCCX that wore you out! ;)

Built with lovely parts usage! Very poignant too... in the '80's the Air Force was even gearing up to launch space shuttles from Vandenberg Air Force Base in Ca. Then that whole venture was scrapped... and now the whole shuttle program has been scrapped! Kinda sad, because we really have nothing to replace it and have reverted back to launching satellites on missles!

The space shuttle itself seems a little...something. But the helmet flame is a stroke of genius!

I have a green one of those helmets... hey, sorry about being inactive. if you want to know why, just check out my new MOC, fade. It has details. Also, a little improovement: it is actually slightly off. it needs a brown tank on the underside of the shuttle, and it tapers near the front and back, so I suggest 1X1 rounds and 1X1 tapered rounds. (funny how we use those for LSL pistol rounds, eh?) that would make it just hit the spot.
