About this creation
Ronin Silverore was of an ancient race of Dwarves, almost as old as the Dwarves themselves. A group of Dwarves had intermarried with a group of short, long-bearded men and their children were taller than most Dwarves but shorter than most men. Ronin made his abode in the Iron Hills, which had been all but abandoned since the Battle of Five Armies, and came to the Lonely Mountain shortly after Skargim’s return. He was a skilled fighter and excelled in the use of the war-hammer. In addition to his hammer, Ronin carried a single-handed throwing-axe which was also a very lethal weapon at close quarters. Ronin aided in the defense of the Lonely Mountain and revealed the Orcs’ hideout to King Dain Ironfoot. Ronin was mortally wounded in the attack on the Orcs’ hideout but died in peace, knowing he had brought honor to his house.
