Leoda Keep
Seaside Castle Keep
About this creation
On the eastern boarder of King Hirald's rule lies the Leoda Keep. Built as a symbol of prosperity, it stands an the shore of the Banonk Sea across which lies a land of war and terror. On a rock outcrop stands a memorial to all those who have fought for honor and glory in that far off land.

The Keep is maintained by Lord Aravhail and his woodsmen. Together they protect the eastern border in case of attack from across the sea.

Builder's notes: Boy it feels good to be building again! With my first semester of college in the rear view mirror, I needed to exercise some creativity, and a castle seemed like fun! The build overall weighs in at almost 20lbs! By far the heaviest MOC I've ever made. I really hope you like it as much as I do!

C&C Always welcome!

Very nice! The SNOTed 1x2 plates on the castle give some nice texture. The rock-work and waterfall are excellent too.

Love the cliff. So many lovely techniques used, it would be hard for me not to use them.

While I love this build! And the rock work, and the studs in the cornerstones, I feel you've lacked the most basic castle needs. You have no road, lane, path leading to the drawbridge, plus you have to go dangerously close to the water fall too. Maybe it would have been better if the drawbridge was on the other side, with a road lead in to it, so you don't need to trek though long grass to get there. Still, cool build!

Wow! This is really good! I really like how you designed the architecture of the castle. It looks really realistic. I also like all of the small details you included like the trees, the foliage pieces on the ground, the water, and the goats. This is very impressive!

Amazing castle design! I love the the bits and pieces of studs that stick out here and there! Adds a special effect! The rockwork is intricately done, and the water is superb too!

Nice one. Love the textural contrasts between the organic look of the landscaping, and the smooth, blocky surfaces of the keep. Excellent rock work in particular.

College hasn't ruined your ability to amaze, that's for sure. I really like the rugged utilitarian look of the keep -- a great frontier outpost. The small waterfall is eye-catching as well.
