MiniReview: Fighter and Sniper
About this creation
Well, for your information I'm still alive on mocpages, even though no mocs have appeared from me for a while. I've been busy with high school and also I've had a lack of parts because for now I have refused to decompose my Bio-Cup winning works, Vertigus and Red Tide, which in result have swallowed all my balljoints. I'm planning a new part order soon to get back on track with mocing, but for now here's a little treat.

I found these 2 figures in a local grocery store. It's fairly common that some small stores have toyshelves, which have anything but common brands, aka mostly cheap chinese toys. However, I was suprised to see these two on the shelf and their unique coloring made me buy them both. Se here's what I can say of them.

First of all, they were pre-built in their plastic casings, so their producer must've forgotten the whole idea of creating. The plastic appears to be a little cheaper on some parts and the molding needs improvement as some pieces are really stuck together, like Fighter's heels, or they are really loose. The wrist/fist connections are the worst: On some positions they have high friction and on other positions they don't.

The most notable parts removed.
Here's a few facts:
-There's no dual-colors nor translucent pieces.
-The silver appears to be darker than the original set's.
-The fist mold seems to be a little different, having stronger ball sockets.

Although the weapons are monochrome, I think it increases their range of use.

The yellow head is a bit poorly put together, giving that 'crack'. The masks are really nice though. Rare and unique. Red Cossy anyone?

A cardboard from the back of the casing. The other side has the instructions of the original HF set, kind of poorly printed, blurred. The series is called "Earth Warrior" and you can see the photoshopped Hero Cores. The statement at the bottom is ironic, warning that the contents may vary from illustrations. You don't say? It's a pirate product for heaven's sake.

All in all, I dislike the figures for their lack of quality, but do like them for their pieces, which I think I can put to good use.

Thanks for watching and tell me what you think of these two.

Shouldn't Bulk be named assassin and Stormer be White King, instead of the other way around? xD

This is so lame, it's hilarious! I now want one, even if the pieces are flimsy. :P

I've come to understand the saying all that glitters is not gold. At the markets near my place they have a cheap store where they sell everything from kitchen knives to sandals. There these copies called "Robot" it was soo cheap and I was tempted by the price. I bought one and it was horrible! XD

Quoting Vorred 03 What is it with the quality of the plastic (mostly on the helmets)? Here they had some Toa Hordika clones with the same miscoloring, but the feel of the material was weird. No toxic gases coming from those?
The plastic feels normal, so I doubt it's toxic. The quality of plastic appears to be a bit cheap though. It's hard to define the difference, but I guess it's just a bit softer/bendy than usual.

Quoting Lego Obsessionist Ick. Where do you live? This should be illegal. Neat recolors, but non-Lego is non-Lego. Although I do fink their renaming of the characters funny.
I live in Finland, but these products are chinese and I'm as displeased with their illegalness as you are. The distributer and importer is Lelukulma Oy, who runs the toyshelves these were sold in, but the producer appears to be Wellmax Trading Ltd., Manley Tower, Kowloon, Hong Kong. The manufacturer appears to keep a low profile, since there's no company logos or anything in the packaging.

Quoting Gale Winthrope Dang... Now would be a good time for me to light up that "want" sign huh? I would grab as much of those as possible, as soon as possible, as it will not be too long before someone notices, and works to get rid of whoever is doing this. Still, that is pretty epic. :D
I forgot to mention that the sets are chinese. So I think there's little anyone can do about it.
