The RODAC (remotely operated droid assault craft) is a series of military weapons from a secret project by Industrial Automaton. All models are given the "Z" prefix in their names. The Z1 model is the first and one the fastest of these, and was designated as an "interceptor", compromising shields for speed and offense. Two medium fire-linked blasters are built into the dual wing pods at the sides. A red photoreceptor is mounted at the front. An engine with a single ion sublight drive with two large maneuver jets provide excellent speed and handling. While not aerodynamic, this craft only is intended for space flight, where the lack of any atmosphere makes areodynamics unnecessary. The Z1's small profile makes it easy to deploy from battle cruisers, making it a great alternative to light assault craft without putting pilots at risk.
