FINALLY! After over 2 months of building and rebuilding, I present Vader's TIE Advanced Mobile Suit! The design is loosely based on Char's Sazabi Mobile Suit from the Gundam series mixed with the greebly look of Vader's TIE Fighter. This was quite the project, but I'm really happy with the results! If you scroll down, you'll see that I was finally able to pit my X-Wing Gundam against this guy. As always, please RATE and COMMENT!:)

I think this is my favorite one you've done, I like that you found your own "mash up" theme that works really well. I'm looking forward to the inevitable Boba Fett Mech ;)
Thanks, Mike! I will, undoubtedly, build a Slave 1 Hardsuit at some point.:) |

I just love how you managed to make it look like Vader but still carry all the shapes from the Sazabi, especially the head antennas! The legs are superb! I might use some ideas from this to make a scaled down version of my old Sazabi build. Great job! What's next? :P
Thanks, man! I actually gained some inspiration/ideas from your original Sazabi. I'm thinking a TIE Zaku or the Millenium Gundam next.:) |

That's one deadly beast! I like those thruster details in the legs, didn't notice those on the flickr set. Good to see the two of those bad-boys together, but come on--let's see some more action!!
Thanks! I may take some more battle pics. I was planning on photoshopping the one pic, as well. |

Genius! You should condider a short stop-motion duel between the two.
Thanks! I do plan on working in stop-motion at some point. Maybe this would be a good start. |

Brilliant design, Moodswim! You captured the essence of the TIE Advanced perfectly and the whole thing looks very Star Warsy. Some top notch greebling throughout. My favorite part is the head. I love how you were able to blend perfectly the design style of Gundam and still made it look like Vader's head. Fine piece of ingenuity there. Well done, as always.
Thanks so much! |

I like your little additions of the Mini TIE Bomber midsections. Where do you get all of the 1x1 trans-red cylinder bricks? I've been wanting to make a Sith Domo ever since I made my Jedi and he has to have two blades. D:< So anyway, nice giant meck. I love the use of those wrenches on the head.
Thanks, man! I got all those on bricklink, dude. Try All Of Bricks. |
