Pirate Island
Hi all! Today I bring to you my favorite MOC that I have ever made. I liked my other pirate MOC so much that I decided to revisit pirate MOCs, this being the result. I am most proud of the rock-work. This will probably be my biggest and heaviest MOC for a loooong time.

Quoting Deus Otiosus This is an interesting creation. Admitedly not an absolutely astonishing creation, it has very interesting action and positioning. You are an improving builder and I respect that, but there are some basic tips that I can give you to skip some levels of quality - try making rocks look a bit more ordered, especially considering colour. If you can not build large, try building some smaller creations using more elaborate rockwork. The second thing is using lime green for grass - the amount of skill needed to make lime grass is something even Mike Doyle finds hard to gather. I remember how I built a few yeras ago and I see potential in your builds, which means you need to build - a lot.
Thanks for your honest opinion. I appreciate this more than other "this is awesome!" Comments, not that those aren't nice. Yeah the lime green didn't turn out, at all, so I won't be doing that again :P. I've gotten comments about the rock work before, and I'm going to work on it, as soon as I muster up the nerve to tear this apart. Thanks for the VERY constructive criticism, I greatly appreciate it.

It's a nice start at rock work and layering. I'd recommend turning the moc when taking pictures, so that the white background is mostly showing. Rock work can be tricky, I'd suggest covering the studs on the cliff face to make it stand out apart from the top. And if you can, trying blending the colors a little, so it doesn't seem too random. Just a couple thoughts and ideas. Keep it up! :)
