AIS N-11 Galeb
AIS N-11 Galeb (Seagull), advanced jet trainer used to train new pilots for more advanced flying before they take a seat in one of the big and more powerful fighter jets.
About this creation
This was largely inspired with Magnus Lauglo's Shrike which is clearly seen when you compare front parts. That angled cockpit is great. Also, a brilliant idea for the rudder.

The whole thing was built and scrapped about a dozen times, as I wanted it to have as much functionality as possible. The wings, engine(s) and landing gear gave me the most trouble. With wings I had this shape that I really liked and wanted to maintain, but I also wanted working aerilons and flaps. Also, originally it was supposed to be a single engined aircraft, but all the options for the engine looked just too large. I'm still not satisfied with the landing gear...

Just below you can see all the armament options...

and in the next several images you can see armament for various tasks...

And here is a formation flight with three Seagulls and one AIS L-10 Soko:

Also, I built a demo version along with a pilot, it is included in the LDD file.

For those interested in specifications, here you go:
Maximum speed: 1100 kmh (Mach 0.89)
Range: 2100 km
Service ceiling: 13200 m

The rest is classified :-).

That's all. I hope you like my creation, and my photoshop skills :-) . Please rate and comment and if you are using it just post a link to this page. Thank you.

Hey there, i would like to ask u for permission to re upload a version of this great jet. I modified it to a carrier based version with tail hook, folding wings and arresting device for cat shot. :) (credits for original version will be given!!)

Hvala najlepse! :) The problem is that if I would connect them that way they would stick out, if you know what I mean. I just didn't like how that looked like. But hey, the LDD file is there so you can experiment on your own. :)

Oh ok. I would recommend connecting them with a flat 2x2 though. Odlican posao opet moj prijatelj!

Yes, there are. Air brakes are on the underside just next to the front landing gear (four hinge bricks).

And don't worry about the landing gear, it's really cool. Is there any airbrakes on this aircraft?

I really like this plane, although the canopy is long. But I will still rate this a 5/5.

Coll Jet!! It reminds me to the T-45 Goshawk. Will there be a carrier-based version available soon?
