The first and primary mass-produced Mobile Suit of the Western Hemisphere Alliance.
About this creation
After the East Asian League unveiled their Thunder Mobile Suit, the Western Hemisphere Alliance produced their own Mobile Suit: the Verstilis. The other superpower nations have a different model of Mobile Suit for different combat roles (ground-, aerial-, and space-types all being different Mobile Suits). The WHA decided to do something different with the Verstilis. The same base model is used across all three platforms, thus streamlining production, maintenance, and other logistics. The different platforms are also equipped with the same basic weapon systems, with a specialized weapon developed for the different environments. The same Mobile Suit can easily transition from aerial combat to ground combat with a simple backpack and thruster swap (and vice versa.)
Here is the base model Verstilis that is used in all environments. It has no hand-held shield like other mobile suits. Rather, the shields are mounted on the shoulders and lends to greater individual maneuverability and mobility.
All Verstilis Mobile Suits are equipped with a large Buster Sword for melee combat.
This shows the dual-opening cockpit design, once again inspired by the great Mithryl Altaire.
A head and shoulder close-up of the Mobile Suit. I wanted to design a head that looks similar to the RGM-series of Mobile Suits, yet still looked "heroic."
The back of the Mobile Suit, shown without a backpack unit.
A close-up of the upper legs and front skirt armor. This is also the first mass-produced Mobile Suit to feature skirt armor.
The rear and side skirt armor. You can see on the side skirt armor where firearms can be stowed.
The SMG is used across all platforms. It is magazine-fed and functions similar to the P90.
The heavy launcher is the second firearm that is used across all platforms.
It is reloaded similar to any breech-loading firearm, as shown here. Making a true breech-loader proved too difficult with this weapon design and interfered with how I wanted it to look, so I may revisit the idea in the future.
Leg-mounted rocket launchers are also standard equipment.
Shoulder-mounted rocket launchers are standard as well.
This is the ground-specific Verstilis (designator: WMS-002T).
A ground-type pilot.
The backpack for the ground unit. It is smaller and more compact than the other backpack units to allow easier ground movement and to reduce the Mobile Suit's profile.
The ground-specific weapon is the Heavy Assault Rifle. It packs more firepower than the SMG and has a large capacity drum magazine.
Here is another view of the Heavy Assault Rifle.
The aerial Verstilis (designator: WMS-002A).
The backpack unit for the aerial unit is able to provide self-sustained atmospheric flight for the Verstilis, and as such boasts the largest power output. This backpack features a few cosmetic changes from Mithryl's (again!) TMX-0003A D-Type mk 3A "Dragon" .
A side view of the aerial backpack.
Leg thrusters are added to both the aerial- and space-type platforms.
Another common feature between the aerial- and space-types are the shoulder thrusters.
The special weapon of the WMS-002A is an aerial bombardment launcher. It houses a laser-designator on the front and can be loaded with missiles, bombs, or both. This launcher can be wielded by either a single Mobile Suit or shared between two. This weapon system helps emphasize the aerial-type as a "death-from-above" Mobile Suit.
The pilot is shown wearing flight gear.
The space-type Verstilis (designator: WMS-002S).
The space-type backpack unit is similar to the aerial-type, except that the wings have been replaced with large thruster nozzles. This design helps increase zero-gravity mobility.
The rail-gun was developed especially for the space-type Verstilis. It has a large magazine capacity, and is very useful against enemy battleships. Although it is deployed mainly for colony and point defense, it does see use on offensive maneuvers.

Here are all three different platforms, each wielding their "special weapons."
"Glory to the Alliance!"
Well, I do believe that this was well worth the wait (with the uploader issues, and thank you to the system admins for fixing that!). The function of this Mobile Suit was largely inspired when I remembered what Mr. Slideshow said when talking about the Modular Freight Cars : Modularity! So I decided to do something different and make a single Mobile Suit that could perform (with some minor alterations) across any terrain. I am pleased with how this turned out. While waiting for the uploader issues to be fixed, ED Eroomdivad came up with several name suggestions, and "Verstilis" is the one that I liked the most. Thank you, ED Eroomdivad!

Cool! And huge.. Looks very cool in the blue/grey color scheme and those various weapons are great work too :-) I like the shoulder rocket launchers.
Thank you! All of my mass-produced Mobile Suits are roughly the same size, with my Gundam(s) being slightly taller. I try to keep the WHA's equipment wit the same blue/grey color scheme since it works for that faction very well. Since the WHA faction is American-influenced, I try to base their work off of that. The weapons come from the idealism that Americans love superior firepower.

Space huh? Maybe there is a space faction then... but anyway nice mechs, and I like the name. =D
No space faction as of yet, all that is out there are the colonies. But I have no clue how they work into everything yet. And thank you for the compliment, I am still trying to figure out where the name came from...

very well sculpted, and fully equipped, lol, you should have guessed that as soon as the pages worked it would be 'gold rush'! lol! expect it to last 3 days!
I figured that this was uploaded early enough in the day that it would not get affected by the "gold rush." Plus, nothing else had been posted (that I could tell). Meh. But thank you for the compliment! I definitely tried the "quality over quantity" approach again with this particular Mobile Suit model. And my next one will not be uploaded for a few days so this rush dies down.

Nice work! I'd say you got the 'Murrica vibe pretty good with this one. And dat Heavy Assault Rifle. Lovely.
Thank you! Since the good ole 'Murrica is part of the WHA, it made sense for anything from the WHA to be 'Murrica-inspired. Just like how Russia influences the EF, and China for the EAL. As for the Heavy Assault Rifle: go big or go home. 'Murrica!
I guess that this one did not get as noticed since it was uploaded right after the uploader was operational again. Since multiple MOCs were uploaded by various builders immediately after this, it would seem as though this got pushed off. Oh well.
