Wow, I'm glad to see that you've put that LOTR sig-fig into another MOC! Oh, speaking of which, I don't think I'll use the design anytime soon... :(

hey david, i want to start brickfilming and dont know where to start. suggestions? Well, first, some of this may seem offensive, but I won't (and certainly don't) mean it do be. First off, don't start out thinking you are a regular fancy pants or on the level with annoying noises productions. I made that mistake, and my first brick films were placed too far above others' by me. Start out by making some tests. They don't need to be long or fancy, just try out some different techniques. Walking cycles, head turns, jumping, running, fighting sequences, anything you think you will use in a future brick film. After that, you're just about ready to start making bigger films. Do some voice test, ( something I failed to do with my later brick films) and fool around with your editing system. iMovie works best for me, if you don't want to do too much masking, but right now I'm just using windows moviemaker, which also works pretty well. An iPod will work, but the Logitech c920 is what I use,Nakhichevan is pretty fantastic, and super simple. Next, get good lighting for your set. If you wantnitndark on the set, then you shoul be the one controlling that darkness. You want your room to be pitch black, and you'll probably want to put paper over your lamps so the exposure isn't too hard on the mini figs. Wear dark clothes, because the light can reflect on what you're wearing and causes light Flicker, BAD. Also, use a tripod or make a stand for your camera so it doesn't wiggle, As it is really distracting. After all that, you're on your own. Good luck!
